Just a heads up, this seller, both on Ebay and Amazon, worldofbooksusa Has listed that they are out of Florida, but they are actually sending books from the UK and offer no tracking. I have contacted both venues and Ebay says that they are in violation of how they have their auctions listed. I have nothing against the UK. I have bought a lot from the UK. I believe in the honesty aspect of it and I should be able to choose if I want to order something from the UK or buy it locally.

Glad you got your books, getting your books does change your PL nomination though. From memory I think 1cool, paperheart, joey, srevan and maybe a couple others had PL business pending. FWIW, the HOS polls being done at the same time as a PL process complicate the voting, I don't think there's any hard and fast rule but in my mind the HOS vote should be made presuming Chip was going to come through & clear up all of his pending PL business. My getting my books doesn't change my mind about the situation. Even though, per rules, that may change the nomination I still support the HOS. Even though I may not have been very verbal, in this, I have read everything and read some of the offsite forums that he has done wrong to. There is a pattern that needs not be on these boards.

Well, FWIW, I got my books from Chip, today. I'm glad I got them, but that doesn't change my mind or vote.

I didn't catch that, but, yes, why would Chip be on Craigslist to possibly buy something when he has money problems? When I lost my job and had to fight for disability it took 2.5 years to get it. To pay for bills I was emptying out my house of my comic books, toys, Magic Cards, miniature gaming figures, etc. Taking care of my family is more important. I've been in Chip's place more than once and know that it is not easy, so this hits close to home for me in seeing how being in situation is handled and burning your bridges to people who can help is not the way to go. We have friends to help each other when we are down. Now that I am a little better of I in turn help out others as much as I can. If Chip keeps burning his bridges he will never have anybody to look for help to. Somebody eluded to the fact that Chip may have burned the bridges to his family and friends as to why there is nobody to help him. I am believing that more and more. I hope he gets this straightened out.

dkidd1958 I bought this book and this is how it was shipped. I contacted seller and he told that over the past few months he has sent out a lot of books and there have been no problems and since I am the only on that it is not his fault, but USPS'. Buyer beware.

I am not withdrawing my nomination. I should have been more clear in that, since I was hearing other people getting their tracking number, as well as I, that I am not going to change what I had started until I know I get what I ordered.

The 30 day mark was yesterday. I, also, got a tracking number and will hold any decision making until I get the package and know if everything is there and not a German newspaper.

You're a total finger wagging, know it all, jerk off sometimes. In cases like this it's better to just not say anything than show everyone how right you can be. To everyone else, for what it's worth, I haven't kept in touch much with Chip since our last dealings earlier this year but I am Facebook friends with him and I've seen postings of how things are for him. I have had extensive dealings with Chip over the past year and had zero issues financially so I don't think he's trying to rip anyone off. Most of you know that Chip has been in a rough patch for some time now and I'd suggest keeping that in mind when dealing with him. Many of you know that he's dealing with depression and he's also been evicted out of his place, lost a job and had a split up with his partner who he shares a daughter with - all within the last two years or so. There have been other people who have fallen on hard times in this place and the forum has stepped up to help them without dragging them through the mud. You're free to respond however you feel you need to but I thought the above was worth posting. I agree. My biggest problem was his answers. He kept telling me that he will get to them ASAP. I told him that it doesn't seem to be a huge priority for him and his answer, still, was he will get them out ASAP. It doesn't sit well when people have to keep inquiring over a period of time to try to get information about what is going on. Even if he would have initiated contact letting people know what is going on and why the delays, rather than leaving people in the dark, this could have gone over better.

Chip Cataldo? Yes

I would like to nominate Chip for probation. It has been at least 30 since he confirmed he got my payment. I sent him numerous requests about shipping of books and his answers were that he would get to them ASAP. I have had to initiate every contact and now I hear nothing from him. I don't have a lot of money as I am on disability. I knew that Chip was in need of help and have been buying books from him for quite a while from here and on Ebay. I believe in helping out fellow man and did the best I could for him and his family. I am going forward with this because it tisn't that difficult to keep in contact with people, I had to keep chasing him, and let them know what is going on. In good faith I sent him a money order, which he acknowledged getting, and has failed to meet his requirement to send books. I have sent him notice two days ago I would be nominating him.

Awe man, I am drooling over those Patsy Walkers. Great find. I am sure you are in awe, but Aww man, is probably what you are looking for. Sorry. Just I recently had to get a facebook account and it makes me cringe. Awe is a name. You awe him an apology Yeah, but awe would like to get some more Patsy Walker.
