  1. Our show on Oct 1st will be in a bigger room at the La Quinta near the Tacoma Dome and will have 60 tables. People are excited for it.
  2. FANTASTACON 2 IS A GO! .. FOR SUNDAY OCT 1ST. Dealer tables (60) are now ready. $40.00 per table. They will go fast as we sold out last show. We will be in a new location just a mile down I-5 at the LAQUINTA INN right next to the Tacoma Dome. Easy freeway access. Again tables will sell out fast. But this time the room is bigger and has great lighting. Starving artist tables available for $25.00 each but you can only sell homemade items and your art. These tables will not be in the main room but will be on the side of the room in the hallway. Tables are already starting to go as soon as we mentioned it. The last one did well and people are looking forward to this one.

  7. Forgive my ignorance, but what is the significance of the Eternal Warrior comic?
  8. I feel ya. I went about 20 mile to as yard sale, that I had emailed the night before asking what kind, how many, and how much to be answered they are 60's and 70's only to get there and only find around 7 books. Frustrating.

  10. I've been reading this plan for at least a year now and it is still being exhorted without gaining any ground. You still think that saying something today that has been said all this time will automatically come about? It seems that he doesn't want the advice that is constantly reiterated. If that is the means then why not try to show him the right way to do it? Since the beginning if the journal he has shown that he wants to flip books all the while people are trying to get him NOT buy large books and get a job. If he isn't going to do it then why keep on trying to convince him to do so? I know he isn't going to take that advice no matter how many times it is said and/or who says it. So, my piling on won't matter. If you really want to help, as he won't take other advice and you want to keep trying, give him another alternative and/or help.
  11. Hey Gabe, last year I went to an estate sale and spent $300 on these books. I sold most of them here for over $1,000. Don't chase after large books. Go for ones that you can get cheap and sell for high prices.
  12. A couple months ago a comic store opened in my neighborhood. They are doing really well. A lot of people are there buying new and back issue books and they sell a lot of Magic. One thing that sells really well is 50 cent Magic cards. A lot of the bulk rares that usually don't get picked up quickly are still used by other people. I took around 3,000 of them to the comicon I hosted on Sat and just one person bought over 400 of them. I have had people buy around 100 at at time. I have, also, made starter decks with commons and uncommons and sold them for $5 each. They always sell. Those are some of the things that can help make more sales.
  13. I WAS looking forward to these books. Oh well. I'll just move on.
