Another trip to HPB.

Not an expensive comic, but I got these in the mail today.

I know it's not a big ticket item, but since his death, and my being a giant Star Trek fan, I had to pick this up when I saw it.

Phantom has always been one of my favorites. At a yard sale, recently, I picked up six hard back dailies covering the 30's and 40's. In the late 90's I found an original GI Joe in the box for $1.50.

I miss not having those three X-Men books.

From an estate sale I was able to procure 3 Nova #1's (VF/NM), a FF #111, and a few other books, but had sold them before I could take a picture to share. One of the dealers I wholesale to bought everything. Sorry.

First a couple things I picked up at the local Swap Meet. (just the rack) And this at Half Priced Books in the clearance.

I collect full runs of a lot of titles.

Yeah. She's freakin' hot. Waaay hotter than the woman playing Barbara. I feel bad that he's going to eventually end up with the bisexual, chemically dependent trophy wife. She used to play on Stargate.

Nice haul Chip. We are getting closer to yard sale season here and can't wait to find more treasures.

Okay, I got myself into a little trouble by dipping into a savings account we have for home repairs. I can always put it back, but could not pass up on this. Saw an ad on Craigslist of an estate sale that had some books that were of dalies. Man I am glad I went. I needed $500 more to try and buy him out. There was a lot more left. When we got there a gentle was already leaving with three tubs of DC Archives and Marvel Masterworks. Here is what I got and paid less than $10 each hardbound. My wife wanted these and I was just charged $10 for the stack.

Half Price Books came through again.

I have had people actually say that they were just looking at the auction and accidentally bought it. Really? You have to click on the "buy" button and you have to confirm your purchase. So, you accidentally pushed the two buttons?

This is ridiculous. I have shipped out records before where I cut out cardboard larger than the record, but made it thick enough for it not to get bent. People can do these things, but they choose not to. They think their lazy job is a stellar job.

Great Haul, Chip. Why can't I run across finds like this? Also, that GS1 is speaking to me.

No, the are a little smaller than a comic, but have four comics reprinted in them. X-Men Daredevil, Iron Man, and I think Ka-zar.

They look cool though and as an X-Men collector I can appreciate it in my collection.
