  1. it shouldn't be. Was there ever a rationale explained behind the rule? Im not even sure when that rule was added or if it's always been there and we're just now running into a scenario where there are actual Legit ways to sell digital copies. hmmm come to think of it I've seen a few sales threads that included those DVDs of comics (the legit ones thru Marvel) and those sales didnt get pulled...
  2. Question: So selling legitimate licensed single use digital codes is forbidden, but selling unlicensed items we made at home is ok? How does that make sense?
  3. feels a little like Wasteland. With the renewed interest Hollywood has in Sci-Fi/Fantasy it could get some looks. Also if the first few issues rope enough readers in with a good story, then they'll let it play out for a while so Hickman can do some world building.
  4. :: probably the same way the guy who sold me a peter panzerfaust 2x signed sketched for $50.00 That Ditko sale is of Walking Dead #1 level self-flagellation... except instead of watching a book blow up over the course of a few years, its over the course of 2 weeks.
  5. 60 different Ditko variant auctions on ebay right now. 26 books with bids (25 raw, 1 CGC) Highest with bids CGC: CGC 9.8 Sig Series (Stan Lee) $3600 (50 bids) Raw with bids: $810 raw 6 copies have auctions ending tonight 3 have bids (current bids are: 610,610, 640). 3 w/o bids have starting points of 999, 775, 800 There is also a $699 BIN out there, and a $729 BIN that might get snatched up depending on where the three active auctions end up. Last completed sales: $750 BIN (1/9/12), $760 auction (1/9), $799 acution (1/8), $700 auction (1/8) Interesting watching if nothing else. I imagine the three auctions today to push up to $700s, and two of the loser bidders to grab the $699 ad $729 BINs. Though they might decide to toss their money at one of the 7 books still under $400. There's a sale back on December 24 for $80. That guy must be punching himself in the nuts daily.
  6. Super hyped for my first sketch slab! Even more that I won it in the Secret Santa Raffle this year. It may just be a little head sketch, but its mine!
  7. How ironic they colored it yellow since that was the issue cover when DD switched to the current red costume... is the interior DD #7 or an earlier yellow costume issue?
  8. actuall text to my brother before the game started: Me: L'vill's honorary captain is Muhammed Ali? I've got a bad feeling about this... Him: Me: I mean one of our Honorary captain's most recent appearances was at the opening of a new Hyundai Dealership... theirs LIT THE OLYMPIC TORCH Him: Me: No Im serious the karma is not going to go our way.... 2 minutes later L'ville gets a pick 6 and it was all down hill
  9. There is, haven't found one yet. The novaro one appeared under the title Relatos Fabulosos and it is number 156. A cover scan can be found here: http://www.kingdomcomics.org/rfabulosos/rfabulosos10.jpg thanks!
  10. Know if there are any foreign variants of Adams House of Secrets 88?
  11. Having sold my X-men 142 just before the DoFP announcement, I can tell you prices have already spiked.... Will they keep going up? No idea, but I've decided not to watch out of self preservation
  12. thanks that helps... it led me to this nugget on the internet: "Milan-based Williams briefly reprinted a bunch of DCs comics (mainly Superman and Batman) in the early 70's. They never touched Marvel books, and just lived through three years. Another Milan-based publisher replaced them as DC Italian licensee in 1976."
  13. Just bought this over in Dave's sales thread... I'm a Green Lantern fan so this looked like a fun book. And I figured this was a good place to ask, can anyone tell me what this is? I get that its an Italian translation, but does anyone know more?
  14. 53. Puerto rico is included and 2 others cant remember which ones. No I wont be buying them. Just the regular cover and maybe connecticut since i live there. The other two are a USA flag and the District of Columbia... Im mostly curious if the use Ohio's actual flag shape (only non-quadrilateral one), and if the keep the square ones square (RI, ND, ID)
  15. Justice League of Amierica 50 flag variants? Anyone thinking about speculating on the less popular or less populated states to see if lower production runs might yeild increased value when people try to put together full runs of the flag variants? Im thinking: Alaska, Wyoming, North & South Dakota. Or maybe go with states where there seems to be a lot of "state pride" where there might be more interest in a state specific flag, like Texas, but less ability to get the book? anyone else thinking about this, or am I just borded?
  16. New Addition to my Green Lantern SS theme. Didnt even remember it was also the 1st appearance of my least favorite Green Lantern, Kyle Rayner...
  17. thats the most contained controlled Stan Lee I've seen.
  18. i almost bought this one too! let me know if you want to trade it for your Nino/Wrightson Double SS HOS 106 either way its going right next to the other GL SS you sent me in the pay it forward! seems like you and I are going to keep crossing paths with these overlying interests...
  19. enroute from the land of eBay been on a Green Lantern SS buying tear of late...
  20. ... my 2013 focus My 2012 collecting started out with the Points Challenge ($100 to score 1000 points). Which morphed into $300 for 3000+ points, and kept me entertained for the first 6 months of the year. At the end of it I spent $335 and amassed 3500 points on my registry. By years end I had sold them all off and fell from just inside the top 1000 down to the 1400s... Now here we are almost to 2013 (if the Myans are wrong) and Im changing gears and focusing on signature series. But this time nothing so mechanical as trading dollars for points, but rather feeding my childhood love of Green Lantern! In the last month I've grabbed a few green Lantern Sig Series books, nothing high grade or high dollar, but nice signatures to have none the less. So my new goal for 2013: Try to get at least one Sig Series book from each of Green Lanterns various artists, and if possible writers too. Some (Neal Adams I'm looking at you!) are easy to get because they live on the con circuit. Others, not so much, or impossible. I'm going to try to do both new book subs via facilitator (or other CGC friends) and book purchases (here on the boards and via ebay and other marketplaces). I'll start off by posting some of the books I already have, and then talk about some of my main targets. Along the way I might even post some OA that goes along with my Lantern love. So keep watching, I'll leave the lantern lit. -miraclemet To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. New comments can be added below.
