  1. You, Dice and I have that knack. At least now I am part of club board greats.
  2. Another one for my Marvel Magazine collection.
  3. For you Walter Simonson Thor fans AAFES has the new book out cover art only. Decided to grab these on a whim. They will now become completely worthless now that I found a small HG horde. Finally the nice book for the week Vampire Tales 3. I love these Marvel Comic Magazines. They are true gems.
  4. Ditto. I will add mine when I have a chance.
  5. Love Antman and I'm actually disappointed with who they chose to play Hank. I would have rather had an unknown actor. Plus, it would be more fitting to have a younger Hank and no Scott with how "young" the movie universe is.
  6. Well, what did people think about tonight's episode. I really enjoyed it without getting into to much detail for those who haven't seen it
  7. Yep MSS is a comic as well. Nope, it's officially a magazine like SI or Playboy. Magazine/comic Read the front of the cover. Top states magazine bottom says official comic adaption. You know your stuff I admit that, but you're wrong about this being like SI and Playboy. Not everything is black and white; there are gray areas where the lines are blurred.
  8. Guess that would be the same for comic magazines like Marvel Preview 4 , 7, Savage Tales 1 etc.? Those 1st appearances really don't count much because they weren't comics.
  9. This thread is for discussion for books selling well on eBay. The point of this thread is to make people money or at least give them the opportunity to do so. Not sure why you would complain about that in a thread where that is the specific purpose of said thread. I'm not complaining. I am simply discussing what this thread is used for.
  10. Its still .99 to 6.00 raw from what I am seeing. Sounds like people trying to stir something up to get rid of their 1.00 stock. I hope that is not what the Copper Age Forum has devolved to. Though it feels lately like the main discussions are about how much someone can make off a collection they purchased, and which books to submit to CGC. There are also discussions about books and characters that we can appreciate. I don't think anyone brought up price until you posted market ranges. I realize the intent of the thread is to track Ebay sales. Hopefully talking about comic book content doesn't become a forgotten topic. I appreciate Bosco's sentiment. I much prefer reading about the content or history of the books, and it seems like the short term flippers have migrated here from the modern forum but this thread is titled "Copper's Heating/Selling Well on Ebay" so I would expect some discussion on flipping. Thanks Mike. And on the second item, that was why I had inserted the later statement. The discussion with MrWeen (Hopefully we get to know each other well enough, I can call him "The Weenster") was just to explain why X-Men #4 has become the recognized 1st appearance of a character. I'm not selling anything, nor am I boosting someone's sales. But I do think Omega Red is one of those sleeper villains that can jump back out again. I'd like to see that happen. Sorry if I offended you. I wasn't implying you were trying to boost sales.

Should have just said +1

I would prefer to talk/ read about comics and history etc. without worrying about values. I have been in this hobby since before many folks were a twinkle in their parents' eyes. There was a time when value and how much something was worth was important to me, my collecting grew past that. Simply put people are using this thread to cash in on trends and make a quick buck, whether it be running to the lcs and grabbing all the copies then can in order flip on ebay or dump the books they have. Typically, its the 1st scenario from what I see.

  18. Norem's painted covers are awesome. I love his work. Heck, I think most painted Marvel Magazine covers are superior to their comic cover brethren
  19. Funny I thought the same thing 5 years ago.
  20. Final page from Creatures on the Loose 30 featuring Man-Wolf's 1st solo appearance.
  21. nothing really "major". I haven't found much lately, but I thought these were some fun Items. Norem cover prelim and a published cover to a Mexican Bionic man comic from 1979 w/ the comic itself.
