  1. korath-thak? Eh, no thanks Yeah I over priced two copies on ebay at $40 each on thursday. yesterday both copies sold... Not calling you out as maybe I missed them, but I just looked at the completed listings on ebay to see if these are hot and I don't see any being sold at $40 each. I see a complete set just sold for $75.00 a #11 sold for .99 , $5.12, and $6.99 lately.
  2. If the first part is wrong I am sure the second part is wrong as well. Oh well
  3. Something small this week on the comic front. I haven't really been spending money on comics as of late. Canadian edition of Saga of the Swamp Thing 21 in decent shape.
  4. Believe it or not the prices were pretty cheap compared to other Marvel covers of the era. They were a lot to me, but to others they would be considered lower end covers
  5. There are better scans on my CAF gallery but here are some pics
  6. I knew someone had it, I just couldn't remember who! And it doesn't get better than that! I am extremely lucky to own 3 of the 6 painted covers featuring Starlord. I would love to own them all but I know it will not happen.
  7. You guys are probably sick of it, but are my tickets to the club.
  8. I have you know I had to wear a jacket twice this winter. It was a cold one.
  9. You don't want to move here. Its currently in the 70's and it is suppose to be in the upper 80's this weekend
  10. Allen is a great guy. I don't get down there as much as I used too The 35th and 101 is only 3 miles away from where I live. Nice to see fellow collectors in the neighborhood
  11. Then please don't go back and try and put words in my mouth - if you remember my comments, then you know my hatred for Modern hacks has nothing to do with Marvel or its history. It's kind of like giving comics to your younger sibling and he rips them all to shreds - Marvel Modern hacks. Wait, don't go back and put your own words in your mouth I like your takes too, and I actually agree with your take on MP 1 but it seems like your own words are fair game. So when Hulk went back to grey and change his name to Mr Fix It if I recall correctly; is a new first appearance? "New" color, new outfit, new attitude. As for powers is FF21 important? Sue gain power of invisibility over other objects and able to project force field same character new powers How many costume changes has Iron man had? What about Hawkeye becoming Giant Man, new name, powers and costume? Its a new creative look and direction only. This happens with so many characters we would be full of new first appearances. I understand JC hating modern Marvel but he is using a .com site that modern Marvel recreated while making fun of a reconn that if I am not mistaken took place in the bronze age. Never read Avengers that much. Might be later when AWC re-intro'd the original Human Torch in issue 50 still in the 80's.

It's kind of like giving comics to your younger sibling and he rips them all to shreds - Marvel Modern hacks. See this is where we agree again. I just buy FF to keep my collection going. Stopped buying all other Marvel moderns.
  13. I see I have an angry SA troll following me around - time to go outside and get some air. no. I just read the forums and remember stuff. I actually enjoy your posts and your point of view. I agree with you most of the time. Its fun to debate topics. No need to resort to name calling.
  14. This happens all the time with comic book characters when different creative teams take over. Doesn't make it a different character. As you said before in Comics general Didn't the brainless Modern hacks at Marvel retcon that? and above Disagreeing with the company who publishes the books = Major Fail. I guess this only applies when it suits your agenda/ point of view
  15. Nope, that was Him, a Speedo-wearing caveman that Marvel later revived and transformed into the superhero Warlock. Like The Cat to Tigra. Same character. just built upon no matter how you try to spin it. Yeah sorry I actually READ the comics, not look at plastic tombs. And Marvel.com agrees with me, stating MP 1 is the FIRST APPEARANCE OF WARLOCK - look it up. Disagreeing with the company who publishes the books = Major Fail. I have a total of 8 slabs in my collection. I too actually read my books (thumbs u

  17. This just came in. An Australian copy of Marvel Preview 4 reprinting everything except the ads, letter page and the Wrightson splash. Its from 1980. Makes me wonder how many were actually printed. The population of Australia at the time was on a tad over 15 million compared to the 200+ million people in the U.S.
  18. Picked up an Australian reprint of Marvel Preview 4 for fun
  19. I decided to see what these are going for and I found this listing. Helluva a way to sell comics. Ebay New Mutants listing
