  1. I've never seen that one before. Great colors. When I see this collection, it makes wonder why I should even bother collecting. I quit.
  2. Pay copy, those marbles won't disintergrate like the decaying paper that makes up the pay copy.
  3. There's something about women in tubes that rings my collecting bell. Do you have anymore OA of scantily clad pulp women? Because when all is said and done...scantily clad women on pulp and comic book covers is why we all collect. We may use high fallooting language when talking about the history and merits of comics and pulps...but believe me, it's all about scantily clad women in peril.
  4. My tongue is still dragging on the floor!
  5. They're shooting at a helpless woman! And a knockout at that! Why those dirty rats! We'll teach them to shoot at such a babe!
  6. I use the super thin paper in all my GA books. One in front one at the CF and one in the back. I use the backing boards with the charcoal in the middle in a mylite. I then put that in a 4 ml mylar. I use to drive myself crazy over this stuff. With the kind of books BZ has, the big concern for me would be preserving the PQ, since the cover colors look like they've been well taken care of. Do a few at a time, don't rush it and remeber that you've taken great care of them already.
  7. You might need nerves of steel when inserting that Detective 27 into a mylar. But some of those super thin acid loving sheets for migrating acids to put in your GA stuff. Invite me and Shield over and we'll help you do it...for we have nerves of steel. And lots of 'em, inviting yourself over like that! Those super-thin acid-loving sheets might not be thick enough. Jack Thank's! I'm trying to overcome my shyness.
  8. That is a great idea with the two backing boards!

  10. There is no doubt in my mind what the most important comic book of all time is and it doesn't even matter how "important" is defined.
  11. Jimmeny Crickets!!! nothing else matters Bang, once you can a fill a table full of these as you have.......the rest is all gravy (IMO). Congrats!!! Steve Am I the only one that thinks that would make a great pattern for bed sheets, quilts, curtains, ... I ran that by my wife and she didn't agree. I then mentioned using it for a little boys room and she said.... maybe. I would love to know what the PQ is on that Detective 27...How's about it BZ?
  12. Wow, which one is the real batman. Ciorac can really immerse himself in a role.
  13. Just act a little jealous... it's the polite thing to do. OK, I'm a bit jealous, especially of how young The Kid is.
  14. I'm not. I don't get jealous. I'm secure in my own personal worth. Besides, with the great collections some of you have I'd be getting jealous every minute of the day and we can't have that.
  15. Wrap his what? around those whats?. Well...I'd love to stick around and poke fun at you guys, but my wife is dragging me to a musical.
  16. Oh, is that his photo? I thought he put up a picture of some funny looking guy as a joke.Boy is my face red!
  17. Any minute now I'm expecting Fox News to break into terrorist coverage with details on this earthshaking event and the legendary figures involved.Cut away to a stacked, blonde info-babe...."Each one of these comic book titans bestride the collecting world like a colossus..." I'll leave the rest to your fertile imaginations.
  18. I think crow's on to something here. Both books too rich for my unambitious blood though.
  19. I guess BZ shot his wad...Oh well..it was fun while it lasted.
  20. I had hoped this thread would last the whole year long. I guess I should know better than to try and live vicariously through someone else's collection. But since today I'm going to the fair with my three sweeties (My wife and my two grand daughters) I should be fine. You know, one of the great thing about grandkids, is that it takes a lot longer for them to realise you're not cool, than it does your kids.
