  1. In other "news" - http://comicbook.com/blog/2014/08/24/daniel-radcliffe-recently-talked-to-marvel/
  2. Just came here to post that. It is way funny and so true
  3. While I don't doubt you, how do derive this information? I sold one of them for a price that crushed the GPA-recorded high, and learned from the dealer to whom I consigned it that several other sales had done so, too. I think the same thing is going on with Hulk 1. From what I can ascertain, many dealers are no longer reporting to GPA, on anything. Can't say I blame them. If they report, that just sets the bar higher for them to purchase. These are crazy times ! What dealers used to report to GPA that no longer do? Do you have any evidence of this at all? Thanks
  4. Here's another personal fave of the genre; I have another (Bethlehem) but no scan handy
  5. Norm Saunders what a genius He did #3 and 4 so you'd think, right? Anyways, i was just on the Norm Saunders site (put up by his son) and there's a comic books index and the #8 isn't there. I guess his son would know. Norman Saunders I have that book, it's mostly pulp covers and a few comics. Another favorite of mine by him (I'm assuming) is G.I. Joe #35
  6. Love that cover! Who did that cover? I would guess Norman Saunders
  7. Everything you've posted is killer, but I love this one! I want one now! I had the same reaction. I'm not really into romance books, but this one is beautiful. Got that on eBay like 12 years ago
  8. I like Al Hartley covers. If you have one of these let me make you an offer
  9. If anyone has a nice one of these I'd love the chance to wrest it from your collection. Please PM me!
  10. There were a few high grade copies of this floating around a couple years back, I snagged one. Probably file copies
  11. Here are some Romance books I don't think are in particular demand but which I have an affinity for. This is basically a 9.8 with a little rust on the bottom staple - before and after slabbing:
  12. OK, I've been found out... PTA 11 is my favorite cover of any period, any genre.
  13. Nice buy. That an extremely tough issue to find and impossible in better than mid-grade. Correct. Sold a copy, tried to replace it - took me ages before one became available. There was one on eBay for ages - maybe yours? When I finally decided to snag it someone had just bought it
  14. $1725 according to Brian. Another strong finish for another eBay copy tonight. It's official: this book could potentially bypass(gulp) GCE12 as romance book #1 ?!?! On the topic of MRA 50, just checked GPA and a 3.5 copy sold for $315 in Oct 2012. So if that eBay copy was truly VF, $1800 to $2000 is about right, based on the one data point. So I don't think this is evidence of the book "taking off", just surprising for those who might not have been aware that people are standing in line for that book.
  15. Congrats! That didn't take long! I can see one problem here - you don't have an MRA 50 anymore... :: (or maybe you do?) Been watching this thread for a long time and was wondering when people were going to start spilling the secret cool books MRA 49 is another very neat one, which I personally prefer over 50 (which obviously has the crossover horror appeal). I have a 49, but it's hard to find these books for sale (Technically, "Romantic Adventures" without the "My")
