  1. What I like about this casting is that Marvel Studios can use Pym as a "link" to "Silver Age"-flavored stories, much in the same way that Captain America is a link to the Golden Age. Not that they are going to make period pieces like X-Men First Class, but just the idea that some character exists in the movies through which the history of that universe can be fleshed out.
  2. Wow, I get ALL my breaking news from this site... I like MD, like this casting. Noticed on the Golden Globes last night though how old he is getting...
  3. This one was better. Cool bad guys. Still not sure why Coulson has such an inexperienced team. Phase One established that SHIELD agents are well-trained & professional; these guys are not. Would accept it more if there was an explanation, ie Coulson fell out of favor or something and this is what he was stuck with. Disparate individuals that become a team was the story of the Avengers; don't need to see same story again. When Fury was yelling at Coulson in Ep 2 I got excited for a sec thinking he was going to tell Coulson to can the whole team and recruit new members.
  4. In the 1st episode someone mentioned NOT to let him know the facts about how he came back. In yesterdays 2nd episode Coulson seems to remember being stabbed, he mentions his recovery on some pleasant island. ScreenRant has a great article with some really cool theories I wouldn't have thought of. Article title is '10 Theories for how Coulson returned from the dead'.
  5. It is truly terrible BUT I will watch it anyway and hope it is on a long time.
  6. Just watched the second episode. Spoiler: this show sucks
  7. Yeah, dumb idea to try to tie it into a movie that made 1 billion dollars
  8. I was hoping for something more cinematic. What I got was...TV
  9. MCS auctions good for raw 9.2 and under books valued at $40+. For non-key, non-hard to find slabs use MCS BIN system due to no reserve on the auctions - got burned once.
  10. You could take a road trip and consign them with someone like ComicConnect... just an option, and a reason to visit the Big Apple. Maybe Texas is closer? Don't know much about Tennessee
  11. Here is the book I bought at the time, with the clear backing board. They are no CLEARS℗™®©℗©™™ however I am sure... Looking back over this thread, I see someone else mentioned this guy back in 2008. Can you entrepreneurs also please make a hard case for a raw that is the dimensions of a CGC case? So I can store my nicer raw books with the CGC books.
  12. Name some of the space-age plastics and I will probably remember because I remember looking it up after ... I think it started with an 'l' - lumite?
  13. Pyrex, lidocaine, polyurethane... what do I know. What I know is the guy who was supplying him with the uncut sheets was raising his prices so he stopped. I talked to him at NYCC '11
  14. The guy at North Coast Comics made these for years. I had a long conversation with him about them.
  15. The guy at North Coast Comics used to make these. I got one from him with a book. They are awesome. Want more.
  16. I'll give a No-Prize to anyone who can guess where mine came from.

  18. What I can say is this was the funniest series since The Tick. Missed the first issue as I was out of town, bought 2, 3 and 4 and finally read them last month. Went back and read #1 digitally
