Yes it is. Thanks for mentioning this, I was going to ask about Canadian page counts but wasn't sure which part of the forum was most appropriate -

I recently purchased a book that I didn't realize was a Canadian version until after I received it. Not a problem for me but I wanted to research it a little for page count and such. Turns out this version of the issue isn't in the GCD so I thought I would try to add it. I made an account and attempted to add the issue following the instructions as best I could. It's been a few weeks and it hasn't been added. There was mention that someone might contact me about it within a week but no one has. I can't seem to find any contact info on the site to follow up on it either. Can anyone shed some light on how the process is supposed to go? Or maybe someone knows who I could contact? The book itself is nothing major but since I put some effort in I don't want to just let it go. -Brian

Where in the world was the Quality Control at CGC???
BriD. replied to Wally's Comics's topic in Comics General
I've seen this before in older slabs like this one. I guess they needed to use that spacer to hold a book that size in place side to side. But this TMNT doesn't have it so I'm not sure what the reason is for using it. -
What's your lowest-CGC-graded comic in your personal collection?

Just picked this up. I had never heard of it before and can't really find any info about the Canadian version of this issue

ComicConnect's Next Event Auction has started posting books !

I agree the 1.8 seems correct. Just not sure why Metro bothered with "Pre-CGC" grade on the label. What does that even mean? -

I noticed something that I hadn't seen before. This book graded 1.8 with a Metropolis sticker on the back stating "pre-CGC VG- 3.5" . I looked for another but couldn't find one. Is this normal for them? Are they just stating that they disagree with the grade? It is a great looking 1.8. -

If there's another I'll take one!

While Newton rings look bad you can be sure that it isn't staining your book. Unless there's something else in there the book should be fine. Your disappointment is understandable though. Do you have pics that we can see?

Detached Cover max grade
BriD. replied to ImAWookie's topic in Comic Book Grading and Restoration Issues
I just happened to see this on Instagram and it reminded me of this thread. Looking at what marvelmaniac posted and what you say here, is this an appropriate grade? I only have the front cover pic. Label notes are - small amount of dried glue on cover, 1 small piece of tape on interior cover, 2 center wraps detached. With the cumulative flaws and 2 center wraps detached, grade would seem high even though it may present as a 4.0 at a glance. Grader Notes chip out bottom of spine chip out top of spine detached 2 centerfold dried glue interior spine heavy, multiple chews multiple wrap indent right bottom of front cover small split center of spine small, multiple piece out interior very small tape staple
