  1. This is an occasional effect produced by the inner and outer cases being in direct contact with one another. The visual effect is similar to oil on a water puddle because of the two plastics. If you gently seperate the two pieces or insert a piece of paper in the side of the case, this should remove this effect. Ultimately it is not anything that is in direct contact with your comic, nor will it affect the comic's condition over time.

If the comic is completely removed from the outer casing then it must be resubmitted for grading even if the inner well has not been breached.
  3. Come to the Philadelphia Convention Center to take advantage of CGC's On-Site Grading at the Philadelphia Comic Con June 11th-13th 2010! Prepare your On-Site grading submissions in advance and save valuable time! Prior to each show where CGC will be grading onsite, we will post our Online Show Submission Form. This new online form will give CGC customers the opportunity to prepare submissions for on-site show service in advance so they don?t have to spend too much time waiting in line. The link to the form is located on the CGC events page: http://www.cgccomics.com/events/index.aspx After completing the online show submission form, please be sure to print the 4 copies of the form - three for CGC and one for your records. You must present these copies along with your books at the time of submission. *This online form is only for On-Site Grading Services at conventions. Please do not use this form for submitting books for regular turnaround times. * Signature Series at Philadelphia Comic Con! Yes, you will be able to submit books for the prestigious Signature Series service at the Philadelphia Comic Con, and with On-Site grading, you can get your Signature Series items signed, graded, and returned at the show! You can drop your books off at the CGC booth #809 & 908 and we will get them signed over the weekend (subject to availability). Unfortunately we cannot promise same day service for Signature Series, and some artists will have a limited number of spots available, so the sooner you drop your books off the better the chance of them getting done at the show. (*note* if books cannot be completed at the convention the return shipping fees will be the responsibility of the submitter) In addition, at the Philadelphia Comic Con CGC will be offering On-Site Signature Series Photo Certification! Stop by the booth #809 & 908 for details! If you have any questions regarding show services, please feel free to contact CGC customer service at 1.877.NM.COMIC
  4. OK, so has it been decided, will the "Image Firsts edition" book be competitive or not? If so, what scoring should I use? Also, what scoring should I use for "Chew: Behind the Scenes"? Thanks everyone!

We do not offer any bulk discounts on our Reholder service.
  6. I can add it and make it non-competitive so that it will not affect the "completeness" of the set...will that work
  7. Depends on if everyone agrees...I don't mind adding it if everyone else feels it should be part of the set.

The case and comic will be inspected for damage, but the book will not be reconsidered for grading unless damage has occurred. (for example, if the book is dropped and the case shatters in one corner it is possible that the corner of the book could have suffered damage, so that is what is checked for) If this is the case we would contact you.
  9. It has been brought to our attention that the Larry's Comics Edition of The Art of Chew were not labeled as variants, but rather a note was made in the Art Comments section. These books will now be labeled as a variant (which will also allow me to create a separate slot for them, as requested). If you have a Larry's Comics Edition that is not labeled as a variant, we ask that you submit it with your next CGC submission, listed on a ReHolder submission form (for tracking purposes) with a clear note stating the mislabeling of the comic. We will relabel all of them at no additional charge. Thank you!
  10. NO! you did not ( in the future) create a Neal Adams set!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Ummm...I didn't create that set, but we are offering an option in the near future that will allow you to create any custom set that you desire of any comics that you own....hope you are still excited....
  11. I will keep an eye out for it! I think you left that set in the upcoming custom sets...(to be released later this year )
  12. wowzq! i love that date stamp so much! "Nothing takes the taste out of peanut butter quite like unrequited love." Charles M. Schulz (1922 - 2000), Charlie Brown in "Peanuts"
  13. I really, really want one of these. That's cool, do they have one of any DC execs that you can fight him against? Was it Paul Levitz he particularly dislikes? I think he dilsikes most people.
  14. I was similarly disappointed with the MTVu (Woodie) awards. It just seemed poorly put together and then they gave Green Day the performance award which seemed like a waste to me. Not that Green Day aren't good performers, but if the awards are intended for up-and-coming artists, they don't fit the bill. I think Lady GaGa is fun and vaguely interesting, but not the "sensation" that she is made out to be....
  15. I have a full day of it planned for tomorrow...I'm meeting my homebrew club at 8am to make it to a local judging event that starts at 9am and ends at 4pm....then we head down to the awards ceremony and banquet that starts at 6....I hope I can last the whole day, but I believe that the judging is more "tasting" than "drinking" so most of my consuming should be later in the day
  16. if your wife gets mad you can tell her the moderator made you do it...
  17. not quite yet! That's cool! What kind of classes (if you know)? I am trying to squeeze any belly dance opportunities into my travel, but it's not always possible...(though not sure when I will make it that far, it's been a long time)
