  2. Nah, it's the teacher I'm taking a workshop with next month (thumbs u Anyway, I'm the White Queen... duh...(G)emma Frost? hello?
  3. No, Roy, it's not always about you...though I did consider posting this for you earlier to help you improve your tastes...
  4. Not intended as such and just quoting a good piece of spoken word, but if that is what you make of it
  5. You sit collapsed as an empty mind, last bytes dissolved into your last breath and the droning sound of hollow places pulse with ache. It is lonely here, living in the hazy moment between the alarm and the awakening where the dream precipitates madness as its encore. You are only half here, the other half erased to be brushed from the paper by the same hand that fingers your ache like a fresh scab until you bleed a river of ridiculous. I see now it’s not the vision that’s attraction, you peddle your pieces to a man called Compromise for a place in the greater scheme until the only thing left standing is the place where you once stood. You have just reduced yourself from static to dead air droning. Or it could be the other way — take the wire to the other side of this metal sky and you will see these stars are just projections. This is not real, which means their thunder is merely a threat. Do you want to know the truth? They need you. They are mechanical, maniacal, derived, you couldn’t drown in their gene pool if you tried, but they’re all made up in brilliant disguise selling the very thing they most want but cannot possess — you. And magic is the key to their success as simple slight of hand steals your autonomy leaving you believing you are in control. Tell me, do you trust your judgment? My friend, your id’s been tricked. Welcome… …to Metropolis. -Sister Machine Gun "This Metal Sky"
  6. You should be all set now! (thumbs u
  7. I will check back in the morning to make sure no one is opposed, but otherwise I will apply these suggestions tomorrow. I am glad that you could all come to an agreement without any major issues! can I get you to coach the rest of the board members on how well this can work?
  8. Great Band! Maybe your coworkers are featured in this article... http://www.cnn.com/2010/LIVING/02/04/time.warp.irpt/index.html?iref=allsearch
  9. Sorry Gemma. My mistake! When you asked to post in "that thread," I thought you meant the Chew thread. I'll post my suggestions in the Registry thread. No worries! I was just concerned that a lurker/watcher would only see that thread, then I make changes based upon both threads, then they call and complain and I will be back at square one (basically). Thanks for re-posting so fast, everyone!
  10. So, I see my registry thread is not working...y'all are down here discussin' I should mention that there may be lurkers in the registry thread who do not realize this, though, so you might want to make your final points in that thread too. I'll check both throughout the week to see how its going, though. Also, if you (collectively) would like to suggest the new scoring amounts I am definitely willing to consider them.
  11. I have had a few requests to change the scoring on the Chew set. These are the facts/assumptions I have been given to consider. Feel free to discuss and I will amend the scores by the end of the week. Chew #1 First Printing should be more valuable? Larrys/Limited Edition should be less than reprints? Reprints should be higher? Chew #2 Second Printing is difficult to find/more valuable? Are these temporary trends...or do you feel the books will retain these values in the long run? Any other feedback or suggestions besides the above??? Thank you!
  12. Strange World of Your Dreams ( I that cover...)
  13. Sorry, I'm too broke right now... I was planning on sneaking a peek if you send one in for grading (if the graders ever answer your/my question about that...) otherwise I will have to save up. Can I trade you for homebrew? (if not for you...maybe for a friend???) I have a Czech Pilsner and a Nut Brown Ale right now... OH, and am I featured in the book at all? (I have been wondering, since I was lurking/posting while you were writing it...)
  14. this is from....? Looks like something out of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers... -slym Or Photon...that was a wacky show from the 80's
  15. Well, a member of my club made some pumpkin-spice moonshine.... (thumbs u I considered making a pumpkin beer, but I'm not sure if it would really be that good during Florida spring weather... (though I do like pumpkin beer)
  16. Yeah...I know... I was also considering the Peach Wheat. I don't want to get one that's more than $50 (and the evil twin is pushing it) and I don't like cherry flavor (if that helps narrow things down).
  17. OK, Steve, I've got one for you and the gang....I'm going to be bottling my Czech Pilsner this weekend and want to start a new batch of homebrew over Christmas break, but I'm having a hard time deciding what to brew. So here's the link to the Northern Brewer store...I'd love some suggestions! I am considering either the Honey Kolsch or Jamil's Evil Twin, but there are so many to choose from! (this will be my fourth brew, so nothing too complicated, please!) (thumbs u
  18. So simply put you're gonna be pissed tonight? maybe....
  19. I'm looking forward to my friend's holiday symposium tonight (ie - Symposium originally referred to a drinking party (the Greek verb sympotein means "to drink together") )
  20. Since you can't be OT in an OT thread....I just got my copy of Dodgem Logic today!!! Some good reading/listening for this (holiday) weekend! (thumbs u
