  1. How does the slab handle the insert schematic? On my (unslabbed) copy it's loose, not bound in.
  2. But to make up for that, here's a couple more issues from the show today, and the Mandrake 10 shows an obscured pence price in addition to the US price:
  3. Sadly, it's nothing more than a sign I need to clean my scanner glass. Sorry for the false hope!
  4. Quick question: has anybody heard from @Get Marwood & I recently? I haven't seen them online in quite a while, and I'm hoping all is well.
  5. It was horrible for vintage dealers this year, to the point we're I'm toying with skipping Sunday already. According to the one dealer I spoke with, it was partly due to a fiasco last year, where each dealer was only provided one table to set up on, creating a scramble to find folding tables. (It was the first year in the new building.) I want to be clear: for anybody looking for anything other than vintage comics, the show is awesome, with a spectacular artist's alley and tons of other vendors. But the vintage comic selection, while still providing enough for me to blow my budget, is underwhelming.
  6. Found at ECCC today. Putting it in comics rather than non-comics since it has Kirby's "Street Code" story.
  7. No back cover, but it was a cheap pickup from Harley at ECCC today:
  8. Grabbed at ECCC today. The first time I've gotten one of the pre-renumbering issues of the SF titles:
  9. Two in today. The complimentary #1 was compliments of @Yorick, for which many thanks. The #11 was found at ECCC. And the two of them give me the entire King run of Flash Gordon, unless you insist on having all the various complimentary versions of #1 to be complete. For myself, I'm quite happy with both the standard and one of the complimentary variants. And to any pedants who try to claim I'm not done, because of the Charlton/ Gold Key/ Whitman continuation of the numbering: I've got those all as well.
  10. Found at ECCC today. I love the dual pricing:
  11. I'm assuming if you had turned up an extra of the Tales from the Crypt you would have told me directly. That's the one I still need.
  12. I've posted the Frazetta Natlamp cover on the forum several times without difficulty; published covers are given a little more leeway. That cover was, in fact, the example we used when discussing it with @CGC Mike, if I recall correctly.
  13. Obligatory at this point, I suppose: Interior page from the only issue of Liberty I own.
  14. Everyone knows the TOWER comics are worthless. I put together a complete run of their superhero issues, and there's not a single character who has a movie. All I got was a bunch of fun comics with art by a lot of the best artists who ever worked in the industry. What a rip off!
  15. I'm not trying to put together the whole run, although I'm trying to get the books in the 1300's, at least. Otherwise I collect a bunch of specific characters, and have a tendency to grab them when I see them either in the wild, or cheap. There's something irresistible about them to me.
  16. 13 unslabbed Vampirellas together seems unlucky. I'm sure someone here would be happy to take one of them off you so you can avoid the bad luck.
  17. I'm actually willing to argue it's the greatest album ever. I can't think of another one that works so well as both a collection of singles... darn near every track is a classic that still gets played on the local classic rock station... and considered as a single concept album as well. Not a new opinion on my part, I remember discussing it with friends in the 90's. My view hasn't changed.
  18. I think I have less than a dozen UK hardcover annuals. Which isn’t bad for someone in the US, I suppose. The 1985 Batman is even signed by Jose Luis García Lopez. He said he had never seen a copy before.
