Ah, yes! A very good time. On tv you had your pick of a lot of the Hammer films as well as the black and white 50’s sci-fi stuff to choose from. Lost in Space, Land of the Giants and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea were must watch shows for me. Aurora monster models and of course, good old FM!

Where did he get 1944 as the year for the first EC? I've got Picture Stories from the Bible New Testament #2 as the first Educational Comics indicia publisher, and Picture Stories from American History #1 as first book with the EC logo, and those were both 1945.

Although Heinlein continued to write for decades after this, he stuck to novels from here on out.

I would not get it signed, unless it's for your personal collection and you want it signed. The group interested in the error and the group interested in the signature probably don't overlap enough to make it worthwhile.

If you did not commit to a purchase within 24 hours or so, i believe the dealer has the right to reprice the book without prejudice unless there was an agreed upon timeframe to which you had to consider the purchase ahead of time.
