  1. Avengers 1 experienced a huge run up already. If it kept growing at the same rates that it grew at leading up to the first Avengers movie, its prices would be at AF 15 levels now. It hasn`t passed B&B 28 because Avengers 1s are a zillion times easier to find than B&B 28s. Yes, it had its spike a few years ago - prices more or less trebled.
  2. The pre-Atlases that you refer to are fine. Great books, some of which I've never seen, regardless of condition.
  3. Because it's a different film in the theater?
  4. I could have written this myself. Couldn't agree more. A nice undercurrent of darkness and foreboding, a mad and paranoid Batman, an elegant Wonder Woman who (gasp!) doesn't sound American. Some good lines and nice fanboy moments. I like the tack they're taking. This makes it sound as though I'll enjoy the R-rated Director's Cut more. Waiting for the Blu-ray for me. Possibly tonally similar to Watchmen, then? I would say not. Closer to TDK (both Miller's version and the movie).
  5. I thought it was passable. Far too many meandering plot lines, coupled with relentless destruction. I'll say no more as there are many here who haven't seen it yet. The money's certainly on the screen, for what it's worth. I think I prefer it to MOS.
  6. When you say "exploded" what would a graded 6.5 be worth today? Sold it for $1200. Now worth 5-6 times that.
  7. Sold Keith Marlow a 6.5 / 7.0 copy a while ago , before it exploded.
  8. Great seller - just received a hard to find Atlas horror classic, packaged well and swiftly shipped. Buy with confidence!
  9. Awesome book. The subtlest of the pre-code icon covers.
  10. I'll say - there are about 20 copies up on ebay now with none better than a 4.0/5.0 and still everyone has an asking price over $100. The two that are up for Auction already have almost 60 bids between them. Things should really start to heat up now. That black cover is a real problem. I still can't believe the way that title has bounced back, T.V. series or otherwise.
  11. We like to keep away from the riff-raff.
  12. How dare you skip over "Fearful Friday!" Very scarce book.
  13. The seller has no previous record of any comic sales, let alone of major keys. I'd be amazed if this was a legit auction.
  14. Agreed - no PCH collection should be without those books.
  15. My favorite cover of the war run - just a highly unusual perspective.
  16. Maybe in low grade, but not much higher than 2.5/3.0.
  17. Always highly rated that cover. Nice pickup.
  18. Been trying to finish that run for a while (along with all the other Atlas war books!). This issue and #17 have proven the most elusive. Nice pickup!
  19. AIT 15 was the last of the books I needed to complete that run - probably the scarcest, in any shape. Thanks Andy - see you in 'the Smoke' in a couple weeks? Absolutely - see you there!!
  20. AIT 15 was the last of the books I needed to complete that run - probably the scarcest, in any shape.
