  1. Andrew made it down here once. Twice One was the Comicana launch, can't remember what the other one was. I met your family Wait... were you two dating? I have to agree. Sorry Garry and Andrew, but that was funny.
  2. It did happen once, in the Summer of 1974. As I recall the sky was quite grey that day, and it was a bit breezy. The day you bought that Rod Stewart LP? Actually it was a Yes LP. Errr, yes, that's it. So THATS where the red pants come from! The New York Dolls, if you please!!

  6. Fake!! Really, you figure?Marvelous regardless. I agree, but they don't look as if they're going fast enough to defy gravity. I could be wrong....
  7. "Old Comic Books" has worked for me for 2 years now Or just "old book". Either way I always ask the seller to write that (and nothing else) on the customs description form. Works for me.
  8. I remember seeing those ads, and asking Paul Hudson (when I first went to Showcase's Neal Street premises) exactly where all those great books that were on the wall as pictured in the ad were (as there were none on the wall when I visited). There's a Batman 1 in there, amongst other gems....
  9. Yep, me too. Probably have nearly every issue. Lord knows why.
  10. I remember seeing Planet X advertising a lot in Comics International in the 1990s, and I used to see the people that ran the shop at shows in London. They didn't last all that long as you said. My memory of their back issue stock was that it was somewhat overgraded and priced to the moon. The owner, who seemed like a nice guy, would cut you a considerable deal if you bought a few books, but even then it wasn't worth it.
  11. It's a free-for-all rave-up. No prisoners taken on the badassiest mothertrucking rock 'n' roll trip of a lifetime. Better fasten those seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy ride, and some of us may not come back. But it'll be worth it.
