  1. I've listed Etsy and BigCartel main shops of OA in this article (in french but the links are easy to identify) : https://diogensclub.wordpress.com/2019/07/14/originalophilie-petit-guide-dachat-de-planches-originales-de-bande-dessinee-americaine-addendum-2-les-autres-lieux-dachats-doriginaux/
  2. At Quai des Bulles, french festival at Saint-Malo, I bought this illustration by Daan Jippes and two drawings from Maxime Garabini.
  3. Sometimes I also have some non following pages from a same issue.
  4. Valiant #11th March 1972 pages 10 - 11 Janus Stark by Francisco Solano López
  5. Shockrockets #5 page 21 - 22 by Stuart Immonen and Wade Von Grawbadger. With the cover of #6 and page 9 of #6, it makes for a nice sequence of "hero rising from the ashes of defeat and ready to kick " with top notch storytelling. : https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerydetailsearch.asp?artist=Stuart+Immonen&GCat=73443
  6. I've got a few : Judge Dredd Megazine 4.06 Judge Dredd - Who killed Jon Lenin? pages 12 - 13 by Paul Marshall
  7. I had the opportunity to buy two pages from Star Wars : Agents of the Empire - Iron Eclipse, drawn by Stéphane Roux, from inker Julien Hugonnard-Bert. At the same time, I bought two small sketches from french artist Joël Jurion featuring Wonder Woman and Catwoman.
  8. Looking through dealers website, I came across what I can only describe as split covers (or panel covers), covers divided in two three or more images. How do you feel about those covers ? Is it a good thing, a bad thing ? Do you own some ? For example (not mine) :
  9. My three (comics) covers : Shockrockets #6 by Stuart Immonen and Wade Von Grawbadger (my first published cover and my favorite) Mighty Samson #1 variant cover by Pat Oliffe Spider-Man and Doctor Strange unfinished cover by Simone Bianchi More info here : https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerydetailsearch.asp?aty=1&gcat=73443
  10. I now use Office Lens instead of CamScanner : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.office.officelens&hl=fr
  11. I recently bought three illustrations from artist Mark Salwowski (https://www.salwowski.com/) : Barrayar, an unpublished cover for a Lois McMaster Bujold book. According to the artist "the artwork was done in the UK in the early 90’s" Despite its title I wonder if this painting could have been for another of Lois McMaster Bujold books in the Barrayar/Vorkosigan series. It doesn't really fit the "Barrayar" novel and would have been more appropriate for "The Warrior's Apprentice" or "The Vor Game" , since the male character looks like he could be the small Miles Vorkosigan who doesn't appear much in Barrayar. Earth shuttle and Comet rendezvous, illustrations for Omega (Australian science magazine). I was only interested in the cover at first but considering Mr Salwowski very reasonnable prices, the shipping cost and my own taste for sci-fi / space art it was a no brainer to add those two pieces. And they're quite big.
  12. They've moved the servers recently
  13. A few photos from an exposition I saw at the National Archeological Museum of Naples https://cortomaltese.com/fr/corto-maltese-un-viaggio-straordinario/
  14. Dell'Otto ? I don't remember seeing his work recently.
  15. I really enjoyed the Shockrockets series when it was published in France. Therefore, I'm very happy to own four pages that makes for a nice sequence of "hero rising from the ashes of defeat and ready to kick " with top notch storytelling. Here, you can almost hear the engines coming to live and beginning to roar, the thunder behind the Shockrockets. Shockrockets #5 page 21, 22 Shockrockets #6 cover and page 6 Stuart Immonen (Penciller) Wade Von Grawbadger (Inker) Kurt Busiek (Writer)
  16. After spending a lot of time looking at auctions, and bidding without much hope to win ... I won ! (a Barry Kitson Legion page for those who wonder) I've received the invoice. I've noticed the shipping would be invoiced separately. Two days agos, I've asked if they could hold the art for a few weeks/months, explaining that being overseas, I wish to combine the shipping cost with future bids (meaning I will bid a bit more aggressively). I've received no answer. Is it normal ? Is my request reasonnable ? Is my english that bad ?
  17. Finally took the time to scan a different kind of OA : Vellum overlays featuring the original lettering of Todd Klein for Deathblow, Supreme ... (He sold them through his website as a bulk, years ago) You can have a look at them in my CAF gallery : https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerydetailsearch.asp?gcat=73443&Artist=Todd Klein&order=Title&pi=18 That led me to think about the different kinds of OA, apart from pages, like the Style guide, Studies, Character Design, licensing art, advertising art, ... Do you have any oddities like that to share ?
  18. I see you're selling them at comiclink ... Would have liked to know if i was right about those pages ...
