  2. Some facts : This was The Artist's Choice website in 2006 : https://web.archive.org/web/20060207021839/http://www.theartistschoice.com/ Now look at the current site : http://www.theartistschoice.com/ Notice how the list of artist was way longer then ? That is not the look of success ... comix4fun, you said : I don't believe this is true ... It may have been, a long time ago ... but not currently. A lot of his inventory has already been sold ...
  3. My latest acquistition, with art by one of the finest super hero artist of the last years. https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1517065
  4. Goals ... mine are like my budget : quite low, but large and diverse enough that I can have hope to reach one or two next year - A nice looking painted book cover (thriller, action, science-fiction) - A good X-Men/Batman/Spider-Man page - A Perez/Davis/Wieringo page - A Crossgen (Negation or Ruse) or Wildstorm (Majestic, StormWatch, Wildcats) page - A comic strip - A page from a fumetti The key is finding art that matches my tastes and my budget ...
  5. When i search Alan Davis : All results are greyed. I filter for galeries : results appears. I filter for makerplace : all greyed gain.
  6. Looks like it's a hidden group ... can't access it, doesn't appear when searching among facebook groups ... It's the CABAL !

  8. For me it's all about information. When posting on CAF, I signal : "this page exists" "it belongs to me" "if you want it, you will have to wait or make me a crazy offer" "if you're Scott Dunbier and you need a scan of this for your book about (add random comic book superstar's name from whom I wish I had a page), here I am" And, of course, it's cool to feel validated when someone likes a page you own ...

  10. I think page number 2 features Spider-Man 2099 (the girl looks like his hologram Lyla). Maybe from issue 40, inked by Bill Sienkiewicz. Page number 3 reminds me of Denys Cowan and Milestone.
  11. I wish I could have chosen science-fiction oriented super hero art.
  12. While Pat Olliffe had a small run on Catwoman, he never did a cover for the series. I think this pin-up would have been a worthy cover.
  13. My latest acquisitions : a Mighty Samson #1 variant cover and a Catwoman pin-up from Pat Olliffe. http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1451761 http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1451759
  14. I'll throw in the name of Claudio Castellini and run ...
  15. At first I wasn't so sure it was Rio but it looks like it's from his Secret Files series. https://www.google.fr/search?q=al+rio+secret.files&client=ms-android-samsung&prmd=inv&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi1w8Dsv_PYAhWB2aQKHfVKCXQQ_AUICSgB&biw=360&bih=560
  16. I recently BINed one cover and a cover-worthy illustration by Pat Olliffe from Catskill Comics for 400 $, thanks to following him via Facebook. Pat Olliffe may not draw the most attention but he is a solid artist, under appreciated as far as I'm concerned.
  17. Yes, but he doesn't bother to correct it .... They're is another dealer on CAF who can't tell me if some pages are available, because the (well known) artist is too busy to tell him ... (and that after telling me that at least one page listed as for sale is sold). I send my first mail in october !!!
  18. Well, it's all in the title. Between those who keep sold OA as available (the worst, The Artist Choice for example but he is not the only one) and those who indicate it's sold but keep hundred of sold pages on their website making very hard to find the available ones (Artcoholics ... ) it is hard to believe they are professionals.
  19. My CAF is the collection of a small time french collector. You fill mostly find within : Sketches from European artists Pages from favorites books/publishers/artists or featuring favorites characters (with a small Superman and Superman-like characters subtheme)
  20. What about a title page ? My own humble example http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=827038
  21. Since is real name was Alfonso Aguas De Leon, it mays come from CREEPY #141 http://www.comicbookdb.com/issue.php?ID=163167
