  1. What if Venom had possessed Deadpool? #1 is getting $15 to $20 per copy on eBay. Seems like two great taste that are good together. eBay Completed Listings
  2. I think maybe I wasn't paying much attention to comics when this trend began. I guess it's maybe great for the industry to get more cash flowing around, but I remember just hating the idea... as well as retailer exclusives. I've warmed up to the idea a bit since then... still bugs me, but I guess there ain't no use in complaining.
  3. Adventure Time #1 Sketched Variants are starting to show up and are gaining a lot of interest on eBay. Looks to be going for $100+ on eBay and they are all over The Market top 20 list. I suppose you hit comic cons to make $$ these days by getting exclusive comics.
  4. Not in the same category as the WD of course but has anyone noticed that Carnage U.S.A has consistently been selling for $5-$10 per issue? Not big bucks but still more than cover price and this has been going on for a month or two now. Completed eBay Auctions
  5. I'm pretty sure it just has to do with the cover. Sex sells.
  6. Looking on The Market I see Savage Dragon #145 Osama/Obama cover is still quite popular. As is the Amazing Spider-Man #583 Obama cover. Is there a surge in his popularity as the 1st Black American President? Also Adventure Time Chapel Hill variant is gaining some interest as in the variant of Issues #2. Manhattan Projects #1 is towards the bottom at $10 to $15; along with Catwoman (2002) #1 which is rumored to be the template for the new movies and New X-Men #128, 1st Fantomex. (thumbs u
  7. I don't think I have to tell anyone here about how hot Walking Dead is on eBay, nor about how hot the Walking Dead Weekly's are but damn, THEY ARE H-O-T! (thumbs u No, seriously.
  8. Just sold a New X-Men 128 and 129 for $25 in less than 24 hours.
  9. Amazing Spider-Man #570 2nd print variant is apparently hot. If you look at eBay's Completed Listings you will find that it commonly sells for around $15 - 20. What's weird is that the 1st prints are only likely to sell for $4 on average.
  10. +1 I'm trying to get a copy right now but its been difficult for me to find a copy I enjoy.
  11. I own its twin! Nice book and welcome to the club. (thumbs u
  12. Sorry we didn't meet up at the show jonjesper. I was looking forward to meeting up again. Those WD #19 were HUGE. And the prices were just stupid... or at least I thought they were. Apparently not to others. Some books that are listed in The Market under Modern Age "Heating Up" are really not all that new. Spawn #1 MOCCA is getting somewhere between $15 to $20+. Amazing Spiderman #400 White Variant is up to $21 with 8 bids and 3 days left.
  13. Just a little bumps so I can add this thread to my watch topics thread. I'm sure there is an easy way.
  14. Ranked at #6 under Modern Comics Heating Up is Psi-Lords #1. Not just any Psi-Lord though, a very rare and limited VVSS Psi-Lord with an estimated print run somewhere around 800 copies. You might try looking up the details about this book on Greg Hollands valiantfans.com website. (thumbs u Valiant madness might be upon us!
  15. I'm really interested in Futurama #1 San Diego Variant mainly because it's already up to $76 and 7 bids with four days to go but also because there is no prior sales data to determine if this is the average price. Auction claims they are limited to 2,000 copies so surely a few more have surfaced since this one.
  16. Maybe someone could relabel this thread "Walking Dead comics that are heating up on ebay!".
  17. Two books of note that keep popping up on The Market under Modern Age comics heating up is: Lady Mechanika #0 NYCC and Saga #1 I thought Lady Mechanika was a dead property but recently it is becoming super hot. I'm almost ashamed to admit that I sold my #0 copy for as little as $10 a few months back and thought I was lucky to have gotten that. As for Saga #1, I have no clue to why this book is so suddenly all over the list of top 100 modern age comics heating up. I wish I knew. Can someone clue me in?
  18. I think I just threw up a little.. Why, did the New Warriors fly out? So you're saying you'd hit that?
  19. Occam's Razor provides that the most likely place that they got the replacement book is from whomever got the mislabeled 3rd print that actually had a 1st print inside it. You pay that guy what he paid for the 3rd print plus a little juice and voila, problem solved. Well, if we're going with Occam I'd think your suggestion might be a tad bit more complex than if they simply took some HG #1 they had at the office and "graded" it a 9.8...
  20. Occam's Razor provides that the most likely place that they got the replacement book is from whomever got the mislabeled 3rd print that actually had a 1st print inside it. You pay that guy what he paid for the 3rd print plus a little juice and voila, problem solved. That's assuming the person had a 1st print and not a 3rd print all along that was mislabeled.
  21. Where do you find a CGC 9.8 copy of Turtles #1 since I thought non of these existed until after the Turtles #1 3rd print was mislabeled. Would that not mean that a book which had a 9.6 label was quickly relabeled to be a 9.8 by the CGC staff? We will never know.
  22. Damn it Whett! I should have picked up a few copies back when they were between 300-400 bucks! Imagine there are some happy flippers right now! Could of doubled your original purchasing price assuming you would resale and not horde them all for yourself!
  23. Walking Dead #1 CGC'ed copies have taken over the first SIX spots on modern most expensive list over at The Market.! Un-Freakin-believable.
