  1. I've been slowly picking away at that run, over the last couple of years. Some of the covers I consider to be Cole's romantic best (11 and 15, specifically) but others (6) aren't so great, which has made my pursuit geared more toward "grab decent copies for a good price when they come up" instead of actively seeking them out.
  2. @thehumantorch, if you're not already aware, Buddy featured your writeup here in the weekly MCS newsletter.
  3. I don't think it's getting anywhere close to that $43K number again but auctions are weird. I'll predict closer to $25,000, which is still wackadoo but that book is firmly established at this point.
  4. I ordered a handful of various books from InStockTrades last week and have been receiving individual emails from them letting me know that each book in that order is not in stock, despite being listed as in stock and processing the payment. I feel like their company name is satire.
  5. I'm happy that they are finally finishing the storyline, as I've been waiting decades for them to do. Buckingham is also working on a new level now. His current work is awesome. With that said, this specific issue was pretty dull, as it seems to just be laying the seeds for something ominous to come for Young Miracleman.
  6. I'm not following what they got wrong.
  7. If it's worth more than what you declared, they will charge you for a higher grading tier.
  8. I find that the app is easily the most streamlined to use a seller that exists, and Gene and his crew are very responsive to emails when issues arise. With that said, I agree with this inferred sentiment: Even when priced below market, listings tend to sit for a very long time, if not forever. However, when I have made sales there they have been very strong.
  9. They have 100% positive feedback, so they're playing with fire if they cancel... Nah, I'm kidding, as an eBay seller, I personally wouldn't ruin their feedback streak over it. But they're really high-volume; I could see them eating the few mistakes they apparently made in order to keep the goodwill flowing. I agree with you, fingers crossed. We'll see what happens. The interesting thing is they obviously have auto feedback on because they already left me a positive buyer feedback. My order was just refunded. I guess they have no intention of filling them.
  10. My mother is definitely a grandmother, definitely uses Paypal, and definitely would have her mind exploded if she had to account for the cost basis of a couch she sold on Facebook when filling out her taxes on TurboTax.
  11. What did customer service say when you called them?
  12. I certainly wouldn't pay a premium for white pages, particularly considering how inconsistent and often arbitrary CGC's page quality designations can be. A white pager can be cracked and resubmitted and come back off-white, and vice-versa.
  13. I chose @Comics4All raffle prize of the TMNT mystery box. This was technically my third choice on my form but my first real choice, as I knew the top two would never make it to me. Let's say that I'm super jazzed to have made that choice, as this is a perfect vision for what a TMNT mystery box should be. A collection of the first issues, rounded out by a collection of the most recent great Turtles creation; a NECA two-pack from the first TMNT movie; plus a handful of figures to go with that. Awesome. And, of course, a giant chocolate coin. Thanks a lot @Comics4All!
