    @CGC Mike I get conflicting answers when I call customer service regarding the Mark Buckingham signing. One person told me he signed a month ago but was in the process of sending the books back to CGC from the UK. One person told me he hasn't signed yet and they don't know when he will. Can you get a real answer?

    Correct that it doesn't matter when the book was originally purchased. Correct that they are really just looking for best reasonable guess. If there were additional costs, such as grading costs or signatures, those fees would be added to your base cost and deducted from the sale price

    Ebay calculates based on gross sales, not net. So, yes, their fees are included for purposes of 1099 calculations. They don't include sales tax in that number, however.
