  1. SPAWN 200 SILVESTRI VARIANT - CGC 9.8 - SIGNED BY MARC SILVESTRI One of two Silvestri sigs in this collection. The other was issue 25, which turned out a bit better IMHO.
  2. I called it quits at issue 275. No problem! I'm just glad people like you are along for the ride.
  3. SPAWN 200 - CGC 9.8 SIGNATURE SERIES - ROB LIEFELD Rob has taken a lot of flack over the years, and all I would do is pile on, so I'll just move on.
  4. I agree that some of them were uninspiring. You will see many, many more variants. There was a long stretch where every single issue had a variant. After a few years of that game, I totally burned out. Yeah, it bugs me to have gotten rid of some of them. I'll post a top 20 list soon. ;)
  5. SPAWN 200 - CGC 9.8 - LEE SKETCH COVER Sorry for all these ugly scans. I was doing my best, believe me! Those thick slabs were a beast for my old HP.
  6. SPAWN 200 JIM LEE VARIANT - CGC 9.8 - SIGNATURE SERIES - SIGNED BY JIM LEE Arguably the best artist from the entire Image roster. This was a great book! Was pumped to get Lee's signature. This won't be the last "Lee variant!" We will take a look at the black and white tomorrow.
  7. Indeed! We aren't even halfway through with issue 200. SPAWN 200 - CGC 9.8 SIGNATURE SERIES - DAVE FINCH Hard to believe it's been almost 10 years since I got this signed. I wish we could have seen more of Finch in the series. I think the Finch books were slightly harder to find than the others. I don't have any information to report regarding the "ratios" or publication numbers for any of these issue 200 variants. We will take a look at the black and white version tomorrow.
  8. I've always taken pride in being helpful around here, even with noobs and recycled topics. I don't think it's a good look to treat a veteran boardie this way, but I'll let everyone make up their own minds. I will gladly leave the thread, and I won't be looking back. Hopefully everyone else will drop the topic, and you can return to whatever sort of discussion excites. you. I'll gladly handle any issues privately. I'm around often, and I'm not hard to find.
  9. I mean, what did I say? They have a 20% "buyer's premium." Is that incorrect information? Now everyone's (well, TWO of you) feathers are ruffled? Color me confused.
  10. Let me quote myself: "I'm sure there are many threads stuffed with complaints about this." I've been here for 12 years. I'm aware of the (pitiful) search feature on the boards. I was simply making an observation. There is no need to be rude. If someone has something to say to me, I'd prefer them to be direct instead of passive aggressive. If someone doesn't have the "energy" for it, then perhaps they should save their precious energy by not responding at all.
  11. I've been sniffing around Heritage. 20% "buyer's premium?" I'm sure there are many threads stuffed with complaints about this. That's a heavy tax.
  12. SPAWN 200 - SECOND PRINT - CGC 9.8 Another dastardly second print! CGC really dropped the ball labeling all these variants when they first came out. I wrote back and forth extensively trying to get this fixed. Thankfully, they worked with me, and they were able to fix everything in their system. I can't help but think about the census, however. It's got to be screwed up. For example, they didn't bother labeling this as a second print, so it's probably listed on the census as a "regular" issue 200. Hopefully I'm making sense. If not, just enjoy the scan. These can be hard to distinguish at first glance. The colors are a little different, and "second print" is noted under the price.
  13. SPAWN 200 - CGC 9.8 SIGNATURE SERIES - SIGNED BY TODD MCFARLANE, ROBERT KIRKMAN, AND MICHAEL GOLDEN Is it time for issue 200 already? Let the "variant cover games" begin! There are 11 different variants of this issue. I can't remember how many triple signature books I had. Not many. Lots of artists were involved in this oversized issue. In case you're wondering, Kirkman did pencil work for the prologue of this issue. Here is a complete list of the involved parties: Todd McFarlane (story), Robert Kirkman (prologue), Jonathan David Goff (co-plot),Todd McFarlane (cover, interior pencils and inks), Michael Golden (layouts), Fco Plascencia (interior color), Tom Orzechowski (letters), Lois Buhalis, Robert Kirkman (prologue pencils), Szymon Kudranski (epilogue pencils and inks), Danny Miki and Jonathan Glapion (additional art), Sheila Saldana, Ivan Plascencia, and Rex Stabbs (color assists), Ben Timmreck (art direction), Joe Ferstl (production artist). I was going to grab more signatures on this book, but my plans never came to fruition. Most of the names on the list above are impossibilities for one reason or another. My apologies for the scanner reflections. My old scanner ALWAYS did this with the super thick slabs they used to encapsulate oversized issues.
  14. SPAWN 199 - CGC 9.9 Yet another Violator cover in mint condition! Just a gorgeous book all around, and this is STILL the lone top census copy!
  15. That's a great question! I was just wondering that, myself. Not sure. Per spawnworld.com: "For any issue after #137, even if it has a barcode on the front cover, it is not a newsstand edition (issues #192-#199, for example, all have barcodes on their front covers)." @Lobstrosity Anything to add here, Trent?
