  1. It’s on the book, but you’re correct. It’s not “factory”. That’s a store barcode, not a UPC.
  2. More pictures please, perhaps with the comic outside of the bag?
  3. Sticker is on the bag. I’ve never seen those issues with a barcode on the cover. @Lobstrosity would be the chief expert here, as I have never been into newsstand issues for a variety of good reasons!
  4. I don't know if you have been lurking or not, but according to record, I joined the boards four years before you did. You've been collecting longer than me? Your assumption is irrelevant. I'd buy you a beer if you were close enough. Sounds like you need to relax if you're upset enough to "yell" at someone in a comic book forum for not posting "visuals" in a thread. Pop a Valium and have a great day. Oh, and feel free to add me to your ignore list. Since you are a longtime veteran of the boards, I /assume/ you know how to do this.
  5. I feel badly for Brian. I've read some of his comments about growing up with Frank, who was apparently quite distant and more focused on his work than his family. Brian seemed kind of lost, and living in the shadows of a literary giant isn't an easy thing to do. He's spent his entire life chasing his father's excellence and has fallen short. He was working with his dad's notes the entire time.
  6. Of course it's fine! Just like it's fine for you to love them.
  7. Messiah might be okay. Children would be awesome. God Emperor would be strange. Almost all dialogue. We'd be forced to hear Leto drone on for hours about philosophy while torturing the Duncan clones. Hard pass. And Brian's books? Good? no...just....no
  8. I'd be far more obliged to offer the seller my sympathies if he would have remained professional throughout this ordeal. I know that most of us are hobbyists, not businessmen, but it's hard to go wrong when using a professional tone accompanied by cold, hard facts. Tantrums make you look BAD. Let the facts do the talking.
  9. Details of your deal notwithstanding, you sound like an utterly unpleasant person to deal with. Blocked.
  10. in other words, what makes you think they would cover any damage after they've warned you that the damage would occur?
  11. So, let me get this straight.. you want them to press the book after they've determined that it would be detrimental to the health of the book...then you expect them to pay for replacing your book after they damage it, simply because you paid five or ten bucks for the pre-screen?
  12. Then why pay for the pre-screen? I would have simply used that money to get the book pressed. The point of the pre-screen is to remove the risk that the buyer faces without it.
  13. Why? I'm just trying to understand the logic. May I ask the name of the book? I've never purchased a pre-screen, so I can offer nothing but speculation n regards to your final concern.
  14. I mean, the pre-screen service is doing exactly what it’s supposed to do. They’ve determined that the book isn’t fit for the service. it is a bummer they couldn’t provide details, though. Reminds me of the guy that gets dumped and begs for 5he reasons why. In the end, what does it matter?
  15. that’s what they are trying to tell you. either the book may get damaged or it would not improve with a press. Personally, I’d take their advice. Look for a better copy.
  16. I hate them. disclaimer - I made a ton of profit off the variant in question.
  17. Incorrect. Spawn 185 Black and White - if variants are allowed.
  18. I CANNOT WAIT I AM SOOOOOO ing EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Casting looks phenomenal!
  19. PM your concerns to the seller. Public posts of this nature are considered "threadkrapping" and this is heavily frowned upon. The seller can make his or her terms as long as they are in accordance with board rules. You are more than welcome to shop elsewhere if you don't like the terms.
