  1. I liked when the cat died. I audibly laughed out loud at this. Do we have a post of the year thread yet?
  2. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Batman-608-2002-DC-Comics-RRP-CGC-9-8-Jim-Lee-RARE-High-Grade-/141081516850?pt=US_Comic_Books last sale on ebay was 1800, for a 9.8 Tough book to get in 9.8. Congrats to the seller.
  3. Completely agree. I feel for the folks who purchased raws, but unless HI directly asked CGC not to grade them, why on earth would/should have a say in what happens once these hit the open market? In the future, if they want to know who let these books out into the wild, HI should number them and keep record of which artists receives which number.
  4. Man. Maybe midtown did order half the print run of #1!
  5. 9.9 is now up for $7,500. I think this'll probably sell off eBay, but I actually don't think it's a horrible price. They're just a year too late. Good luck to the seller. http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-ORIGINAL-2003-WALKING-DEAD-1-CGC-9-9-MINT-UNRESTORED-WOW-WHITE-LABEL-/261359726167?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item3cda40ee57
  6. Will do. I think the CAF is a good hub for that stuff, but I'll be at least knocking out the AF15.
  7. Yes. I let go if my AF 15 to soften the blow. Every time I get that book, I get restless and let it go. Nice to chase but I can't seem to want to hold on to it. I made a mistake in selling the B&B 28 I had. Stupid move on my part.
  8. Nothing to do with TWD, but figured this needed to be shared. Anyone have a few bucks to spare for February's Heritage auction? http://comics.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleNo=7087&lotIdNo=11005
  9. I think around 3X the price of a 9.8 is about right for these. There are just too many out there now.
  10. I'm sure his inbox is lighting up!
  11. YA! Ha-- you guys are awesome. I will in a few days. Probably after I tell the Mrs. about my little Christmas present.
  12. HI has got to be irked about these copies showing up on the secondary market, right?
  13. I actually think the Nowell Brothers best piece is the Gov splash with the heads in the fish tanks. Awesome piece
  14. I'd say they own about 65% of TWD covers on the secondary market, and many of the major splashes/moments from the comic. It's almost not fair how good their collection is. If a museum opened up on TWD, it would be impossible to get off the ground without their collection.
  15. What is hard work, effort and drive for $500 Alex. Jim Eek. Where was that one posted? It was a while back. He was just curious cause of all the cool WD stuff James owns. It's all good. It's James and the Nowell Brothers' world. We're just living it in.
  16. What is hard work, effort and drive for $500 Alex. Jim Eek. Where was that one posted?
  17. Between that one, Carl getting shot and Tyrese sitting in the gym after going bonkers, those are the pages I'd give up pretty much anything for.
  18. Thanks guys. I'm checking out some framing options now. Still pinching myself! I think I'm done for TWD art, unless some insane Adlard piece becomes available (AHEM): http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=890544 My 2014 goal is to grab a page from YTLM #1.
