  1. Fan Side Very good writer has written a very dialogue centric book. It will take a few readings to get some of it (A good thing.) Had this book a different artist I think it would have been much better recieved. The art is very distracting. If you like the art in Proof you will like this book Very disturbing images in first issue. Has developed a following by some. Variants really hurt the book otu of the gate. Now after 3 issues fans of the book are really enjoying it. My two cents Speculator side Speculators are praying it recovers because some went very big on the book and cant resale because their variants plummetted in value. Now they look for any sign someone is buying so they can hype it and recoup their cash. The book participated in a variant program that has further frustrated some as well. This was a perfect synopsis. Well done!
  2. Well, I don't think you should use the term epic unless it's 2010, but um, cool, i guess. I also think the use of "epic" as a proof point is epic in an entirely different sense.
  3. I'm psyched. I also heard it's a limited series.
  4. Modern fast track books received and verified today. We'll see when they're shipped!
  5. I need me some Walking Dead. I'm getting sick of talking about comics that are worth $100 and barely 4 issues in.
  6. Well most markets are set by just a couple people. Look at HG comics. Actually, i take it back. They are the market.
  7. It's either that, or they live with not much else. Those guys have literally shifted the market.
  8. It seriously is pretty insane to look at how many key pieces of art these guys have: http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerydetailsearch.asp?gcat=91035&ATy=1&pm=1π=18&order=
  9. Maybe if we say her name three times, she'll appear?
  10. Digital comics are a very long way from being profitable.
  11. Some of us buy our comics legally!
  12. I wish people like you would stop posting like this. You want free legal advice while you are at it? Figure mess out for yourself. Plenty of info on these boards. Bravo.
  13. Are the Saga's graded? If not, I'll gladly take you up on that! ToT may not get made into a TV show anytime soon, but that's a great deal. Just saying.
  14. I have no idea who the artist is but I think this might be the nicest one I have seen so far. Jim +1 Very Very nice Paolo Rivera is one of Marvel's best spidey artists.
  15. Guy knows how to grade. Ships securely and is a stand up dude. Cheers, mate.
  16. It's been hitting around $175 for the past 4-5 days. I still think we're a little ahead of the curve. I'm actually sitting on my sets and selling my 9.8 #1's...
  17. This book has cooled a ton. Before this season started, it would've been a 3k book in my opinion. I think right above 2K is a great price.
  18. I am going to sound horrible, but i bought a bubble variant from a shop that sold it to me as a 1st print, and I just threw it away. Didn't like the story, and was pissed about the print confusion. He gave me a #1 when i complained, but .
  19. +1 He's confirmed there will be NO Variants for the first issue! PTL
  20. Saga has had some up and downs before the latest mania. The RRP was always expensive though, which is why (as I was too late), I never bought one. Then when I saw the spike coming in early january, I bought a 9.6 (to at least avoid some of the premium). I think becuase regular saga slabs never broke through the $100 barrier, people discounted the book as a financial winner. Once the spike started, then everyone who took it for granted that saga was easy to get, scrambled to get caught up/positioned. Right now that initial spike has kind of died down as lots of supply has come on. A floor is being built, and the supply will dwindle away. 6 months from now, not many people will be selling raw saga sets imo. I think that makes for a good model for a non-tv show successful modern comic. It will come and go in waves. East of West will have variants, for sure, as others have pointed out. The conventions will have them. The 1st print will not be a good early flip candidate, many people will try to quick flips them for $10 etc. The variants will be expensive from the get go, especially if there are only a couple. If the book is a hit (story/art), follow the standard sage advice, "wait for issue 6". By that time, the initial quick flippers will have been run dry, TPB will come out, and prices will start to rise. My Preach!
  21. Completely agree. Makes it even more fun to speculate on something you get excited to read. Really hoping it succeeds story-wise and financially.
