well, just judging by this thread, I've got to think it's atleast as high as Saga. It was on the cover of Previews, we've got one dude who ordered like, 500. I ordered 5 a few weeks back. Even if it's as good as Saga, i'm cool with that.

I've gotta think it's Abe, actually. Either Abe, or a Carol-like character to get things going between Michonne and Tyrese?

Speaking of that I was talking to one of my LCS owners about TWD #1. He told me a horror story that made me cringe. 10 years ago he ripped the covers off 10 copies and mailed them back to Diamond... When Image Firsts came out with TWD reprint, I snagged a bunch for my wife to do this with them . I know we're piling on, but I just can't fathom that'd ever work. You're going all on a hunch that could very well blow up. Even if the book blew up, I just can't see myself paying more than cover considering there's a dude who own's a decent chunk of the print run. Manipulated market. Counting me, you're the third person to notice this with a copy of Saga #8. Some kind of weird production defect I guess? I had one, too!

I will be ordering 250 of #1 and 150 of #2, #3 and #4 . Total investment is approx $1400 for 700 books. If it flops I still have wiggle room with selling sets, IF it soars I will be positioned nicely. One doesn't need to have a large store when there is e-bay to sell to collectors/Investors/speculators/other dealers etc around the world. Good luck! I just wouldn't have the time, nor care or afford the overhead of bagging, boarding, boxing, paying for postage and shipping that many books. If it explodes, congrats. Thats my concern as well. But a sci-fi western?! sounds great. People are buying 80 copies of this and we haven't even seen a storyline preview?

Ha-- considering the back and forth Kirkman has had with all these producers, you never know!

Agreed-- Same for #19. This book fell a bit since the start of season 3. Hope her character can get a few opportunities to grow into the character from the book. Just felt flat to me.

Good to know about the ebay bucks tie in with BML. Love the boards!

Yeah-- I've never used it, but can't fathom BML is a good habit to get into.

Speculation aside, I love the concept, and I hope it does well. The creative team is top notch. Let's hope they stay on schedule.
