After seeing the cover of issue #5 in preview... I'm getting that one!

I have had got all the variants for #1 and #2, plus couple extra sets set aside, looking forward for the #3 to come. My LCS have me on their list for this since.

Got a set of "Afterlife with Archie" comic book variants from Jonathan. Prefect and the packaging is good. I would buy from him again! Thanks for the smooth purchase.

After reading most of the posts... I hope this fellow get throw into jail for not sopporting his child! And what I'm seeing from the updates, it looks like Dupcak is trying to drag down the court by adding more "court appearances" appointments. That's a ploy to waste court's time! Dupcak must be despeate to avoid the child support payments...

Questions from a newbie (me) in looking to sell comics for the first time.

I'm looking to start my first thread in selling forum soon. I had read guidelines, rules and etc. Printed out guidelines so I can read while I write up a new thread in selling forum.

But I have two questions in regard about "kudos" thing. Since I'll be selling for the first time - what do I have to tell if I don't have any "kudos" to show myself in good standing? Should I mention my eBay username to look in feedback?

Hi all, I like this thread - a good way to introduce ourselves! Name is Gregory and I had been reading comic books since age 5. My collection didn't start until 2 years later and when I looked what I had gathered that much. I said,"why stop? I'll go on as long I like to read!" Well, it's almost 40 years and I have not stopped reading .. I'm enjoying comic books too much

My collection had changed in the last 20 years since. I shifted around to focus more on my core collection to complete my favourite titles in high grade/striaght runs. As a kid, I started out with Richie Rich; Walt Disney Ducks (Carl Barks and Don Rosa!); Gold Key - Mystery/Sci-Fic; Superman; Flash and some Marvel early runs. Anything after '90s - it's just tradeback/HC books to read as it's cheaper and get more volume in reading. I still buy new comics but not so much.

I signed to here two years ago but haven't get to post much. Now I am doing more often after moved back to my old town to live. it's good to see lots of fellow collectors with the same ideals here!

These just in today. Something about the price and number of pages of these things is very cool. They really are GIANTS

 

 

Me too! Love these Giants and I have a few Dell copies as well, I have Silly Symphoies #3 in high grade. Looking for a #1 and 2.

Have you ever seen one Giant issue "Picture Stories from the Bible"? Talk about GIANT comic - that one beat all gaints out! I have this one in collcection.

The seller got real lucky(!) - the yellow mailer didn`t fold or bend, so the comics had survived OK. I think the Dot comic may had gone one grade down due to a bend crease on one corner. I was hoping for a Fine condition but it`s gonna be a VG at best. Well, I did buy it for a "filler" copy in my collection while I look for a better copy. Well, the seller isn't a comic collector and I did told her to use cardboard boards. I'll call that one time - period, never again.

Now, from JS comics - like I expect ... exactly as I want to see. a 80-page Giant #1 and Richie Rich #68. Both nice to add to my collection.

Today I went to pick up my new comics at the parcel service place, as I have to ship out the parcels (ebay auctions) to buyers. I got 4 parcels for me. One parcel set my heart frozen ,,, I dread to open and see how this comic survived the trip to me. Take a look how I got it.

Feels like NO cardboard inside!

On the other flip ... I can always depend on JS comics for their great packing and this is how I got the 2 parcels.

Now let`s see as I open them...

Fun thread to read here! I remember had read many Whitman comics in my boyhood days. Grandma used to always buy 1-2 packs for me when Igo to visit her at her home.

Now, I got a Whitman question along maybe bit off-related but here it is:

What about comic digest editions?

I see all are comic books posted here, but no digests. I have (4) 2-digest sealed packs - Walt Disney Comics & Stories #54 and 55 with yellow Whitman logo. I think they were from 1977? I have wondered about these digests - are they worth more than the GK digests?

Any of you had seen the 2-digest sealed packs like mine around? Seems the digest packs are less in market than the regular comic book packs.

I was watching my live auction bookmarks today and looks like I have won 2 lots of Harvey high grades. Gonna check my emails for details then go there to pick up. There was a local live auction where they featured a huge comic book collection for bids.

45 - been reading comics all my life, started collecting since couple years later. Still collecting today. My first year was in summer of 1974.

My collection is somewhere about 2,000 - give or take. Mainly SA, some like about 50 GA and at least 800 BA and Moderns in boxes, Also have maybe 70+ graphic novel HCs (DC Archives, Tracy, Archie Archives, etc). Offset to collection I also have manga collection about 500+ volumes. And over 20+ small statues. Oh, and have 8 slabbed.

Haven't finished my intervorty but I have about 100-140 SA/BA Little Dot titles, 100+ Richie Rich SA/BA, @150 SA/BA DC/Marvel comics. I like to focus on specfic titles to collect. When I'm done with my total - will know exact what I have there.

Used to had almost 17,000 comics in long boxes in the '90s but sold them away to switch for high grade focused titles.

^ This is how I love to see the comics spread out - the old school style AND I love Magnus Robot Fighter comics. I used to read them as a kid.

New comics this week for my collection ... picked them up today from local auction place. Sorry that I don't have a scanner yet - had to use my camera.

Nice triple 9.6 file copies.

Trio of Richie Rich file copies - #34, 42 and 45, think they would be range of 9.0-9.4 NM (will submit to CGC). My favourite RR cover is #34.
