  1. I talked with Chip at NYCC for a while. He said if we can ever produce a real RyanCon or get all the Ryan's to any con and call it a RyanCon, he'll make a banner saying "Ryan "Chip" Zdarsky for it.
  2. Should have something to add to collection for Christmas. My wife asked what I wanted for Christmas, and I just said "I don't know, message Ottley and ask him for something I would like." and she did.
  3. I realized with all the Invincible 12 talk earlier, I never share my page, and it's poorly labeled on CAF too.
  4. What's the deal with the recalled #94? The initial print run looked HORRIFIC. The printing left, what looked like, scales on everyone. Only the Skybound team got them and they were destroyed. The only copies you could get of them were from someone who worked on the book.
  5. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Image-Comics-Invincible-Ryan-Ottley-signed-complete-run-8-114-variant-cover-/331415968927?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item4d29ee5c9f This auction covers a lot of what anyone could need and is all signed. This is Ryan's Brother in Law's collection, and goes to help him out, so if anyone wants it's a good cause.
  6. Rarest ones to get are probably Recalled #94, Returns B&W, Wraparound B&W 100, #50 connecting, and #52 B&W
  7. I think this is everything..... Probably forgot something. #1 Larrys #50 Connecting #50 Second Print B&W #51 Second Print #52 B&W variant #60 Second Print #75 Ottley #1 Homage #89 Second Print #92 Second Print #94 Recalled edition #98 Giarusso #99 Wraparound variant #100 got a bunch #101 Second Print #111 Second Print Returns Larsen, Cooke, Second print, and B&W Sketch variants Guarding and Invincible Universe had a second print to issue #1. Bunch of printings on Trades and what not, but only Trade #1 has two different covers.
  8. I just went with what would cost the amount you normally would spend. I'll run a promotion akin to my friends in the Blue World Order in the 90's. Buy 10,000, I'll give anyone ONE for free!!!
  9. Buy 11 copies, and give 10 away to friends or other Comic readers at a shop!
  10. I'd think so. Would you rather have a page from Amazing Spiderman 4 or 400? Also, Ryan told me no movie, no show. Movie or show could change in a second always. Contractually they could never say yes there was a chance until a deal was signed. I would rather have when Spiderman is lifting the rubble off his back from Ditko'a last issue than a random page from issue 4. You have to compare the same artists work, you can't just go by issue number especially when Ryan has over 100 issues and has consistently got better.
  11. If there is ever a movie, the story from issue 12 will be the entire pivotal point. Look at it like another artist, would a page from Amazing Spiderman #298 go for more than Amazing Spiderman #300 just because it's Todd's first Spiderman issue?
  12. But, my point is, the OA for that issue is just as rare as any other. I'd think the issue 8 OA would be more valuable. Storyline importance for the book is bigger than just first issue by Ottley to most. It's not like Baseball cards where a rookie is best, in fact with comic art from everyone I talk to earlier stuff is less desirable.
  13. why all the issue 12 mentions? Issue 12 is the second rarest book printed for Invincible, plus it's the Omni Man fight. It's probably the most important book in series after issue #1. I have one page from it, and it's one of my favorite pieces I own.
  14. He is still organizing it. He has a ton still. Only things I really remember were he had around half his first issue still, and 2 pages from issue 12, and Robert has none from 12.
  15. It was a parody of the Dead #100 cover on purpose. Not enough main characters had died in Invincible to make the cover legit with recognizable characters at that point. Hell there probably hasn't been enough now compared to Walking Dead.
  16. Let's be honest, when it's all said and done, if he wants it, Ryan's son will have the best Invincible OA collection by a landslide.
  17. Honestly, life has taken such a crazy, busy turn, I don't even have time to enjoy all of my favorite books anymore. All I read are Invincible and TWD. As for jumping in on prices... I guess I'm perplexed. Back when I sold off a few covers, when I was trying to raise a little cash to move to SF, they sold for peanuts. I'm just curious as to what's changed. More money has come in to the Invincible collecting circle. When you sold the two most active collectors at that point were mostly just me and Cory Puga. Now there are at least 4 or 5 people who are buying a lot, and willing to spend a lot more than Cory or I ever could/would. Also the person who bought the Battle Beast/Thragg page had to spend enough to get the page away from Ryan who would have been 100% content keeping it.
  18. Oh yeah, and I really love the cover to #118, it easily could be a contender to rival #58.
  19. But you have the "You own it" bias. If what you had was inked by Ryan, I'd give it the edge. But Ransom is never selling his inks, so I gave the nod to #100.
  20. I wonder what my 4-page long gatefold cover to issue 60 would go for if a double page splash went for 5k. Of course, we'll never know. It's not going anywhere. I'd say you have 2 of the top 4 best pieces of Invincible OA in your collection possible. #1 would be #1 cover #2 The cover to #60 #3 The splash to start issue #1 #4 The cover to #58 #5 Invincible 100 wraparound Would be my top 5 pieces of Invincible OA for long term value and popularity by someone who worked on the series. I don't think you can really count the covers by other artists in the discussion since a) Robert has most of them and b) Some of them would get more of their value for who drew the cover than it being an Invincible cover. I gave Invincible #100 the nod over #75's wraparound due to the fact that Ryan pencilled and inked it.
  21. Base price right now, outside of you how many people would pay that for any page from that issue? Not many. Ottley still has, I believe, half of his first issue. Not sure on the other early stuff, I know he has 2 pages from issue 12.
