The first Blackwing is a nice one. Never new why that character didn't take off. I have a nice raw copy. I've see nice copies of it at conventions. I don't think I ever see it graded.

It's a really nice copy, for sure. I'm happy to have it, I just feel like I got caught in the jaws of CGC's current harsh grading. In my opinion, CGC treats certain flaws harsher than others. If you are talking about DD 69, that's a hard copy to find higher than 9.2. I can't recall the last time I have seen a 9.4 or greater. I am sure I have copies that are 8.5/9.0/9.2 but since I haven't seen better for the money elsewhere, I've held on to them.

If you thought the book was a 9.4 Rob, I am sure it's a sweet looking copy. Besides the immediate sense of loss, you need to say to yourself that you are in possession of a nice high grade copy.

You can get another PayPal account linked to another card/bank account when your account is frozen. PayPal actually mentions this. At least you can pay for the items you've bought.

Thanks guys. 93 is also hard to find. There is something about picture frame Marvels, and picture frame DDs especially, that people take to. That's a nice DD7. Finally the high grades for that issue are coming out again. I literally slept through the DD CLink auction. Kids and work week had me dead tired on Tue. I think a couple went under GPA. Oh well, there's always next auction. I see you are selling your DD Annual 1 on eBay Rob. That's a sweet book. I can't imagine you are selling it unless it's your undercopy. Did you actually get your hands on a 9.8 for this one?

What happened to Sparkle City's grading? I have disagreed now and again when it comes to their grading depending on their scan, but this time they are listing a lot of raw 9.8s that are anything but. i.e. gi combat 169

I don't think some people still don't understand that comics are collectors items to some and reading material to others. They don't appreciate what grade means to a collector.

That was the only DD I wanted from that auction. It went over 3x the last sale. It's a nice copy you don't see very often in high grade. Congratulations!

What happens in a scenario like this? With detailed tracking information and positive feedback received, ebay would likely side with you on something like this. However, during a chargeback, does the credit card company review any data like that and take it into consideration? Is the money ripped from your account at all? What happens? The funds from the transaction is usually put on hold by PayPal till the situation is resolved It turns out that PayPal and/or eBay/Credit card company sided with me. I won the dispute. I can't believe someone who was so happy receiving the item would even try this.

Both movies were a hit with me. I would love to see more. I don't know how long Perlman can last though. They might need to figure a replacement for him at some point.

I suggest blocking eBayer: soccer_as He ought an expensive comic from me and began a charge back on his credit card through payapl today. He already received the item (as detailed in tracking) and left positive feedback. Now he wants someone else to pay for the item. I am never dealing with someone like that again.

Super nice copies since I last looked at this thread. Congratulations on the #1-105! I've been steadily picking away at my high grade set as well. I think I have about 50 to go. Some are pretty expensive, but for the most part I am finding that they just don't turn up that often. The last couple of cons I went to also disappointed in the quality of copies I have been seeing.
