  1. And with good reason – the cover is so badly drawn it’s embarassing. As much embarassing as they were the first issues of X-Force and Spider-Man. The "artwork" on that Deadpool Circle Chase…
  2. – Thanks! Registered is definitely better, although it costs some more on already high rates.
  3. Thanks will do. been awhile since I had my early issues couldn't remember if they all had pin ups etc. Be especially careful if buying a #2 – the Thing pin-up must be here!
  4. Omamma that #1! – Love it! There is a boardie from Europe which owns full stories of page art from the period mine is from, coming from the same source, most very likely from Jack himself. He PMd me time ago and he was the one which told me the informations. I just can’t imagine having so many pages – honestly I would not know what to do with them: to me it makes more sense to have just a few pages you are affectioned to. I know Romitaman has an entire Ditko story, but with his OA buying/selling job he is a sort of "ongoing museum"…
  5. Here’s mine, in the FN range – actually I don’t mind the red mark and slight erasing in the price box, I almost like your copy more than mine. Also yours is from the other print run (they surely had two print runs at the time, as the one of mine has the small lack of ink blot on the Panther's chest and the Magenta plate is less saturated, while yours has a "clean" Panther but the Magenta plate is a bit strong, which results in a better Torch but a bit red Thing… ).
  6. These are just wonderful! I have not my #75 at hand, but here’s my second copy with the cover signed by Joe Sinnott, bought from Dr. Balls. Thanks Doc!
  7. This copy is very sweet and I was tempted when it was on sale but more or less mine is in the same grade.
  8. Not particularly. CGC, before all this "movie hype" phenomenon, used to list mostly the chiefly important appearances or events, so they listed "First appearance of the Frightful Four" in #36 but not Maximus, for example, which – as important as a villain to the Inhumans he might be, it’s not as relevant as – say – Annihilus or Galactus.
  9. #47 is a very nice issue… and the first appearance of Maximus the Mad. Welcome!
  10. I quite agree… I mean that’s not what makes them "keys" – unless they were already keys (important ones) to begin with.
  11. I just love when Blastaar leans out the window…
  12. Each and every Lee/Kirby (and Sinnott) FF copy is beautiful by definition. Besides, at the time I paid a lot less than what you’d have to pay for your sets right now – you both have sweet #46s, a lot better than mine. Thanks everyone! – it was a big purchase for me at the time, I though about it two days and then said to myself that was too beautiful and a unique opportunity. We were in 1990, no Internet, never seen an original page before and it was in Lucca, where a US dealer brought them. I discovered later on that he was selling also on Kirby’s behalf, so it might be that I purchased it indirectly from him. And yes, I loved Blastaar too… my favorite period, the only missing is Sue, but someone told me she’s there, just invisible.
  13. I don’t have signatures turned on – could you post your set here, SpideyFein? And finally I managed to take a picture of my FF original art page, dedicated to KirbyJack which asked about it. From Fantastic Four #62, page 19:
  14. I have just started an auction for a lot of the magazine Spirou from 1958 including issues 1071 and 1072 (first apperance of the Smurfs). Details in the thread. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=8388660#Post8388660
  15. Andy is an asset to the boards – I bought from him some SA books including Avengers #4 and #8 and Fantastic Four #48 from his last sales thread. He was patient enough to wait a bit for me on the payment and mailed them out in a few days, adding also signature confirmation at his own expense because of the overall value. Thanks much! (thumbs u
  16. Convoluted as you can imagine the combination of these elements, they remain 100% pure mess. Sorry.
  17. Divad always manages to be so sweet… (place here a "grin" emoticon in homage to him, I don’t feel like right now… ).
  18. Whatever FF is not only allowed, but highly welcome in this discussion: it’s not the "Fantastic Four Club", but the Fantastic Four lovers thread… So you’re a Thank you. Your FF collection is amazing! (thumbs u And yours? I think I just experienced a good dose of vertigo seeing these beutiful copies…
  19. Meeklo picked a Fantastic Four #50 in a donation thread from me, together with a pair of other books, including one that he sold me time ago and now I have resold him – deal with him with confidence!
  20. While this is generally a good thing (not caring about others' impressions) it can also be a bad thing, even if one is confident in his own things. I am not saying this related to comics selling, rather in general, as I believe it is often erroneously felt as a solely positive thing, while it isn’t as it depends on many factors. As for the sales, I entirely agree with you: sometimes I have sold when I raised the price (here, on eBay I do not sell)…
  21. I have learned to settle with even a super-low grade issues, if it is a more costly or keay issue, and then upgrade afterwards.
  22. But it has a f*ugly miswrap… Nice white copy but the mis wrap is pretty distracting... Hey Claudio, time to sell your gems!! You know my "gems" (actually one as the other is probably a FNVF) are my keepers, and the only two left, so no way they leave my collection – not in my lifetime anyway.
  23. I think I am missing more between #500 and #642 than in the rest of the run… Trying to make up for this right now, as I want them at least for documentation.
