  1. "Hasn't proven himself to be an honest person": so far he has not refunded Hector, but he said he’ll do, so I agree with him in giving the benefit of the doubt. I would not call everyone which appears problematic flat out "dishonest": dishonesty implies a deliberate malicious behavior.
  2. Actually I feel comfortable with it, as it clearly has little to do with the Fantastic Four, it just takes inspiration from it, and – all in all – I would have almost preferred all these movies to be like this.
  3. The sub-crease and the pronounced dust shadow pretty much keep this in the VG range, IMO.
  4. I’d like to have it, but just because it’s the first appearance of the Enchantress and Executioner, two villains I always liked a lot. I would not pay the current prices for it, anyway.
  5. The only UK mag I ever purchased was Revolver, in the early 1990s, with the awesome "Rogan Gosh" character by Peter Milligan and Brendan McCarthy. I also have a few Eagle issues with the fascinating (and pretty strange) life of Christ "The Road of Courage", by the master Frank Hampson! Here’s a recent Topolino issue with an historical character (Atomino Bip-Bip) brough back by current writer Casty (Atomino debuted in "The Delta Dimension" in 1959, published recently in the USA):
  6. But did they end up stopping to publish them (when they possibly lost the rights and/or started that local material)? That’s very odd…
  7. Ah, no, I see now it’s a minor character. The first Fantomex is another issue…
  8. Ah, the Grant Morrison ones… The first Fantomex?
  9. What does it happen in X-Men #115? I think I have it as it’s my favorite period, but aside from Sauron I don’t remember something specific…
  10. Right – strictly speaking I’d say it deserves to be in the "comic books with an Hitler cover" list he‘s doing. Canada is America, after all. (thumbs u
  11. Bronty you know that Nelvana is awesome – if we are striving for comics, and comics with Hitler, it surely makes sense to have a worldwide angle. Of course we can keep USA comic books as a list, separate, as this was Timely’s aim when he started the thread, but it would be cool to have an additional list with all the non-US comics (they shouldn’t be many anyway, also because countries with a comics tradition which were under nazist occupation, like France, have obviously very little books and only after they were freed).
  12. Actually the collected edition (the one I posted) is from 1948 or 1949, but only the cover is new, as the story originally ran in 1945 in "Intervallo", which was a journal for the catholic university students published by A.V.E., the same publisher of "Il Vittorioso".
  13. Can I count on you guys to get these modern Caps before they get out of hand (at least for what I am willing to pay for them)?
  14. I'm inclined to agree with you, Sqeggs. The character in Blue Beetle's had looks like he could be any Nazi officer. I checked the stories in the book to see whether Hitler appeared in any of those, but he does not. http://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=20848 Cool book, but not a Hitler cover. Mine was a Hitler cover, but you did not care as it’s an italian comic. It’s historically relevant (and the story originally from 1945!), you americans are so self-centered!
  15. I do not follow Comiclink – besides, I am very happy with my #3, which I already showed "ad nauseam"…
  16. You tell me… And let’s not forget Reed smoked a pipe in the early issues. "Cool" writers which are encouraged by Marvel to mess with him should consider he’s not a hip youngster.
  17. But in cold blood… a Darth Vader "sidekick"? Give me a break!
  18. I would say it’s an axiom. And Reed would agree with me… Well, at least before Bendis, Millar and Hickman messed with him.
  19. I should have an upgrade soon… if hopefully the postal service agrees, of course…
  20. Edge of Spidercerse has started to be published in Italy and it’s "Ai confini del Ragnoverso"… I always chuckle when they wanted to have the character names of Spidey & Avengers in english (after 40 years of italian) and then they translate everything else. Ah… marketing… The issue also features EoS #2
  21. If he died, he can’t be back – that is easy. Unless they are bought by Marvel.
  22. Thanks both – I don’t like trade papaerbacks, even if I have just to read the books I always try to track down the originals: which are the Brubaker Caps which have gained more popularity as "collectibles" and should be on the lookout for, not to spend excessively? 6's, 14, 25's, for sure. I don't think the others will be too bad, except maybe for 1. 14 will be the most difficult to find, in my opinion. Thank you!
