  1. These are beautiful, and in beautiful condition! I especially love the lighter blue color used in the Doctor Doom one.
  2. Good point Good point for what? If they are meant to be "mystery boxes" the mystery is gone. Because the single prices are not listed does not mean automatically that the boxes are conceived as raffles.
  3. BTW, love the page with Sue at the hospital… FF #80something, right? (thumbs u
  4. Yes, mine is framed too (although I think it would not be difficult to remove it from the frame) – I would have liked to scan it to show the detail. Maybe I could scan just Blastaar’s portrait…
  5. It’s on a wall. I can’t figure how to scan it, and I think a picture would be lousy, but of course I could take a picture.
  6. If listing specific books with purchase prices it would no longer be a mystery box… I think it’s up to arch and the admins to either revise the rules to have them clearly defined or decide to remove the possibility.
  7. As an example: if one wants to move inventory and makes a mystery box per character (i.e. Spider-Man) and states the most valuable book within (i.e. Amazing Spider-Man #13) and the rest is filled with Bronze or Copper issues of at least the box value, same thing with other characters, the boxes should not end up in conflict, as the perspective buyer is buying "per character" knowing he will get at least the ASM #13 and other issues to start his collection at a slightly discounted price. This is theoretical, but I like this mystery box idea, so I was wondering if it could incur in the problems you have listed.
  8. Dang, that page is wonderful. All I can tell you is that while I think I could part with my OA page (I have a page from FF #62, with – I believe – the first Blastaar appearance, the Sandman, and all the FFs besides Sue), it would have been hard to part with the "A visit…" one. I am still undecided, though, I might part with it to buy an #1 but since I don’t want to spend much on the #1 I think I could keep the OA for now…
  9. I can see that is difficult to monitor on arch and the moderators' part, but of course it all depends on how the sale is conducted.
  10. For the same reason some folks would rather buy 10 scratch-offs than a mutual fund. Well, I’ve never bought scratch-offs but I think Jason has always abided by the rules, and the biggest aim in his sales is to both get rid of inventory while offering more attractive books per each box and have fun. So far all his customers have been happy, as most are new collectors that get a chance to read and discover new titles.
  11. We’re four then! You mean you owned the original art?
  12. Just love this, and the Avengers #8 as well. I still need an Avengers #8 and need to upgrade my #102.
  13. I would not trust an investor playing with the Hulk…
  14. I can’t figure an investor playing with the elastic Hulk…
  15. They distributed both in Italy at the time – I remember them. I thought they looked funny when I was ten years old… don’t ask me about them now…
  16. That’s very cool – it should have an ad page with a picture of Pope Paul VI on the back cover, if I am not mistaken.
  17. That is very generous of you… a WDC&S #5 is so cool, even without a cover.
  18. Just got up looked at this and thought it said Walmart on sticker Wow need to start useing reading glasses In the meantime, the MyComicshop copy has sold…
  19. Still looking for this one as well…
  20. It’s really sweet to see the Phantom in a comic book! (thumbs u
  21. @RedFury: the late 1920s Weird Tales are just wonderful. I’d love to have the Edmond Hamilton one… Also, the Oriental Stories ones, with the Brundage covers…
  22. Tomorrow I will make a super-high resolution scan of it, so one can save it on his computer. BTW, I wish to publicly thank BB-Gun because time ago he took the hassle to scan for me the splash page of a Golden Age book which I particularly cared about in high resolution, and not being accustomed to it it was a bit of a pain… thanks pal! (thumbs u
  23. Beauties! Let us know if you sell them… Hey, what a coincidence: the one posted by BB-Gun is precisely the issue I have. I loved that cover and the content is also… If I remember correctly, BZ has a bunch of Weird Tales. I only have a few of the early issues. Red Fury sold me one or two of his second copies. Due to recent upgrades, I was just pulling under-copies from the collection today and took this cool shot.
