  1. Errr...you didn't see the leaked FF trailer from SDCC/D23, did you?
  2. Face looks closer to Byrne/Perez/Ross than previous "efforts" (and I use that term loosely). I know it'll be CGI, so I'm excited if that's the design. I think they've finally got the look correct.
  3. I have a 3-day handling time in my listings and while that doesn't get me the best discounts on seller fees it doesn't affect my sales at all.
  4. Not putting "reprint" in the title is irresponsible. The title should reflect what the item actually IS and not some huckster thing to draw in a bidder with false hope.
  5. Yuk. Over-valued, IMHO. Horrible artist. Blah. I think of John Byrne, George Perez, Alex Ross, Dave Stevens, Mark Schultz, Kevin Maguire, Alan Davis...and it further cements what a hack this guy is.
  6. Bought some books locally yesterday and this sad little copy was part of it. It was as floppy as a wet noodle and for an eighth of a second I considered opening it. Alas, wisdom eventually prevailed and I decided to just send it on its way with the trash man. Who knows what I might have mutated into upon contact with the interior?
  7. Picked up a wonderful eclectic lot yesterday locally from an antique dealer. Gave him my contact info in case he gets more stuff like this in the future. Great condition for the age on most of these and I absolutely love how each one is like a little time machine in what characters and subjects were popular back in those decades. Sadly, the Dick Tracy books are all the 1982 Chicago Tribune Reprints, but that's a minor thing. The last picture shows the comic equivalent of a Happy Ending on one of them, as well. A nice surprise. 😎
  8. You were NOT kidding about this massive tome. It arrived last night and it's my new weapon if someone ever breaks into the house. They'll be dead after one strike from Immortal Hulk!
  9. We're almost there. Like anything else immensely satisfying, it doesn't last long enough.
  10. We got there last night. Everyone is correct, this show is beyond amazing. I'm loving it very much.
  11. That's a pretty mature statement from Iron Eyes. I'm sure he's looked under every rock he can and when he found nothing, spoke.
  12. I also enjoyed the new Batman movie and have probably seen it 5+ times now. Even going to get Dad to watch it before we take in the Penguin show as he saw the preview for that and thought it looked interesting. I thought Paul Dano did a great job making the Riddler actually relevant as a threat. Great acting all-around and I think the key to the whole movie was Pattinson in the Bat-suit for 90% of the film and as Bruce only a tiny bit.
  13. As someone with OCD, this cover bothers me. If Mickey is Ant-Man then Minnie should be Wasp, not Daisy.
  14. If you're buying even a $50 book blind without any market research, you're a fool.
  15. If the business was in fact gone and he had no other employees...without family around, no one would be there to notice. I assume he worked alone in his house and had no outside contact, at least from the dissolution of the business until the end times when he tried to hide.
  16. That's scumbag behavior. Anyone does that to my dad they're going to be beaten to where it just keeps them out of the hospital. All my friends will rally on that because since mom passed my whole circle accepted him as one of their own and he hangs with us all the time. This is all off-topic so I'll stop there, but I'm sorry your folks had to go through that. Absolutely ridiculous behavior.
  17. Ah, okay. I guess I attached more weight to "I got a few late night text asking me if I knew that it happened as I know one of those involved." Historically when I've received late night texts about bad news they have caused me stress in some way.
  18. Dad and I just started this show tonight. Yes, I know, I'm behind on everything. We're 4 episodes in and it's wonderfully acted, but isn't the plot essentially "Major League?"
  19. Sorry if it causes you stress. Can't imagine knowing anyone mixed up in a homicide.
  20. Are you the only one who knows this information? Wouldn't the girl's family be calling EVERY news station ( not all of them can be on the take) and "outing" the father?
  21. Maybe he sold his equipment and people's books to buy drugs. Drugs make people do crazy chit.
