  1. As a huge Byrne fan, you have insulted me. Also, you're incorrect. See: Byrne. Edit : Just make FF #242-244 into a movie. Count your billion dollars. Done.
  2. I'll see what I can do for ya when I get home.
  3. Read that on Facebook this morning in a card collecting group. Is that true?
  4. The first 50? Not sure I can do all of that tonight, sorry. I'm not home until 10pm. If you needed a couple I could swing it.
  5. Ah crud. Sorry about that. If I was home instead of at the store today I'd scan the one(s) you needed from the book. Maybe someone else here has it and can help.
  6. Buy the Marvel Stamps book. It's amazing!
  7. I'll try the freezing first. How should I protect it all? Large Ziploc bag? Artwork on bottom and paper on top? Any other paper surrounding them? How long should I freeze them? I can provide more pics of everything if needed. It's a rare piece so I want to do this right and prevent any further damage.
  8. So I've got this Dave Sim Cerebus thing where there's original artwork and then the letter/cert with it. The art must have been laid on top of the cert thing while the ink was still wet or just printed, because it's stuck together on the bottom. If I pull it apart when dry it will tear (at least the surface if not completely) but I'm afraid to soak it. The artwork is not on that part of the piece, it's centered. How would you go about trying to separate the two, or is it a lost cause and should be just left as is? Opinions welcomed, please. Thanks.
  9. "Look at me! Look at me!" I can't stand YouTubers.
  10. It can even do both at once.
  11. There's no need to use promotions if your stuff is priced to sell. If it's not priced to sell...it won't move, regardless of the promotions.
  12. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if they asked Rosie O'Donnell to play Doom.
  13. I was 6 when Superman came out. It was done right and respected the character, it's history and the world it populated. Christopher Reeve played the character seriously and with dignity. The movies do best when they respect those things. The first Captain America movie, as cheesy as it was (with a budget I've got in my wallet right now)...failed before one second was shot by making the Red Skull Italian and not German. The same mistake has happened here. Most of the early movies failed that way...Doctor Strange, FF, the Power Pack & JLI television pilots, etc. I've seen them all.
  14. Not at all. My point still stands. They are wasting time and resources for BS garbage. Make it Norrin Radd and that's it. However, even regardless of that...what have they done in the past 4 or 5 movies and 4 or 5 TV shows that lead you to believe they will what you suggest and THEN get it right? They've done nothing. Nothing to suggest that.
  15. That's what I mean by "checking an inclusivity box." Some executive these days always has to say, "Forget about 50+ years of the comic character being (established example), we don't have enough (women, black, Asian, Hispanic, etc) in this movie! We need to change that character so that we have enough or we'll get roasted by society!!!" It's ridiculous. Make an original movie that checks all those boxes and stop screwing with the version of the character that made it popular enough for a movie in the first place.
  16. Did you even read the rest of my post? The first part of the decision failed...I couldn't care less how great of an actress she is. The character they are including in the movie is the incorrect one. Period.
  17. So what? I don't need to know any specifics. The Silver Surfer isn't Norrid Radd. It isn't the version that MADE THE CHARACTER POPULAR ENOUGH FOR DECADES TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A DAMN MOVIE IN THE FIRST PLACE. That's the problem. I want the character that EARNED the popularity. Not something that some executive did to "check an inclusivity box." Effing ridiculous.
  18. Since I don't enjoy disgusting stuff, no. If you're referring to mistakes I've made in the past (now EIGHT YEARS past) that I've learned from and moved on from, they aren't relevant to this discussion in the slightest and I should be able to discuss things here WITHOUT them being brought up. You're squeaky clean, eh? Never made any mistakes? How lovely for you.
  19. It has nothing to do with who they are that they LIKE that stuff begin with? Why choose lyrics about shooing someone? Why not helping someone instead? It's like the Saw movies. Why do people enjoy movies about humans being killed in disgusting ways with copious amounts of gore? Why?
