  1. Wow, how awesome is that? Congrats!
  2. I was an animation artwork gallery manager for WBSS from 1993 to 1997 when this came out. If I recall correctly each store got a bundle of 50 or 100 copies to give out as a way of promoting the show & comic. There were 105 WB stores at the time this was released, but I'm not sure the bundles were sent to stores without galleries. They probably were, but again...it's hazy. Oddly enough before the comic was even thought of I was talking with Terry Austin about his current jobs (he was a friend of mine and a customer at my store). He was talking about making a change from the books he was working on so I pushed for him to see if they were doing a comic based on the show. The Batman one sold very well, so it seemed logical. Eventually after my nagging he let DC know he was interested in inking this title if they were doing one. We both loved the show. He got the job, which was great for him as he stayed on the book from #1 for a long time. Anyway, when we got the promo copies in I had him sign one. Here's mine : I wouldn't think the print run to be more than 10,000 or so on this and the surviving copies can't be a large number. Many were given out to kids even though I tried to keep a bunch for my gallery customers as well as taking home about 10 copies for myself. Sadly they've all been sold over the last 20 years. Peace, Chip
  3. Nice find! Where were you? Also, what's the significance of the Ultimates issues? I think I have those somewhere...
  4. I thought with Marvel the diamond with the barcode/line UPC was direct only and diamond with blank UPC were the Whitmans.
  5. ROTFL! WOW! Nice! ...and here I was happy I have one ending in a few days, another ready to go up and a third waiting in the wings.
  6. Great. My least favorite X-Men joins the movie. Blah.
  7. I remember racks exactly like that in my public library back "in the day." They were along one wall in the magazine room. That brings back memories!
  8. Why do you think I'm so damn ornery around here all the time?
  9. I used to have a boxed one. Difficult to find in good shape boxed and complete/working loose.
  10. Well, that was expected...and unexpected. I feel kinda disappointed in the direction the events seem to be unfolding toward. Also, Carl is a dummy.
  11. I have never seen that cover. I can't believe that book made it to 32 issues!
  12. We'll see. They've screwed up so much to this point I'm not giving them the benefit of any doubt.
  13. I've got one for you guys...I believe it was mentioned in this thread a while back, so I bought a couple copies and tried an experiment. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROM-Spaceknight-31-1982-NM-9-2-White-Pages-2nd-Appearance-of-Rogue-/361236373438?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item541b5d9fbe
  14. ...kinda like the basketball player who struts after a dunk when his team is down by 30. :eyeroll: :eyeroll:
  15. ...because it's in the -script? Good episode. Glad stuff is starting to happen.
  16. Neither do I. I just don't consider her attractive.
