  1. I moved into a smaller apartment last month, and had to get a storage unit. It's pretty close to where I live, and I had two reasons to go over there. One of which, was to pull a couple of long boxes to sort through this weekend, since I decided to downsize my Modern collection. When I got over there and grabbed a couple of boxes, I remembered this thread, and decided to poke through and find the Infinity Gauntlet-related books I had put together in the last couple of years (I have many of these same books in long boxes in storage in Michigan), and bring that particular box back with me. I had another set of each of the three 6-issue sets and both Thanos Quest books, and gave them to my brother last year, since this is his favorite, as well. Anyway, I just pulled them all out and organized them, along with some other Thanos-related books, because I thought I would share! I do miss my Iron Man #55, now. It would have looked cool with all of these. ENJOY!
  2. Very cool! I'm glad I read this thread. . . my own introduction happened last year with a Four Color #318 (Donald Duck #1). I've added one other book. I'm actually in the middle of thinning out my modern books tonight.
  3. I was ecstatic to get them today! I was moving, and didn't know when books would be coming back, so I had them sent to my parents since it was a stable address at the time. My mom sent them to me this week.
  4. Artists. . . sure. I had one pic, and it had both books in it.
  5. Thanks to DWC for the Serenity book and Doug for the JSA Classified!
  6. Pretty much. I have hope that things will change by the end of the 22 episodes that comprise the first season... but if they don't, even I will drop this show. Let's see some personality to some more of these people, like Ward. I admit, I liked the first episode of "Almost Human" a lot, just because Karl Urban's character had so much, well, CHARACTER! Show some of that in Ward, and please don't make any more "sexual tension" between him and Skye. That really is overplayed these days. We get a little of that from the Wonder Twins already. If you want to shake it up a bit, put that sexual tension between Skye & May. :: (to the Skye & May thing) -slym I haven't seen the other show, but Karl Urban is usually pretty good. Too bad they couldn't have gotten him for this show. I agree with pretty much everything else you said.
  7. It's this or another reality show. True, the glut of that garbage makes anything look fantastic. Hence, why I have reduced my "reality" TV to only Top Chef, and even then, I miss most episodes and fast forward through anything but the actual cooking and Padma.
  8. I still think it would have been great if Uatu had shown up at the end of the first Fantastic Four movie (maybe at the end). . . "Reed Richards, we have something to discuss. The end of your world!" Or something like that. . .
  9. Yeah, no more spoiler tags! If someone hasn't seen it yet, screw 'em! -slym I do what I want. Actually, part of the reason I did that was because one topic, I felt was beyond the scope of just the show, and could be related to future movie plots that someone would want to be surprised by. . . then, I got carried away and forgot "Spoiler" was listed in the title.
  10. Discussion for this week, in tags in case someone hasn't seen the episode tonight. . . So, what Level are Black Widow and Hawkeye here? Widow is a Level 10 in the Comics World. They have to be equal to or above Coulson, right?
  11. I think originally, it was. Then Marvel and the movie folks in charge had to come up with a way to get 6 stones into the universe. This was the easiest path to get 1 stone in early. Having the 1st stone appear in Thor, would have made it difficult to incorporate 5 new stones in the next few films. Now they only have 4 to go. Given the current use of the stones, should we expect the major villains in the next several Marvel films to harness the power of the new stones in order to get them into the 'movieverse' ?
  12. I'm not normally a fan of stickied threads, but this one is worthy. Hence, it is in my Watched list!
  13. This thread kills me. I always read through it, waffle on what I want to do, and after a while, I always come down to Mylites2s 775s and full-backs.
  14. I looked for a couple of years before finding one. Got in before the explosion in price. I never intended to sell it, but it just was too good to pass up. I'd love to pick up another one. . .
  15. Pretty much my favorite story ever. . . Also, finding Thanos Quest on eBay in 2005 is what got me back into comics. I couldn't find it as a kid, and when I had some disposable income, I found the two books. . . then, I found a comic shop around the corner. . . then, I had a pull list. Well, you get the idea.
  16. I don't think so. A primary attack group went to get Thanos and he put a stop to that instantly
  17. She is cute, and I like my ladies brainy, so there's that. Also, Whedon has a habit of killing off characters, so. . . (pours a little out of his cup for Wash)
  18. I'm actually enjoying the show. I don't know. Maybe, I just like bad TV. I do echo that only one of the scientists would have been fine, with my choice being her. I find him annoying. I'd also like to see some more recognizable characters, but I know that sometimes Whedon's shows start slowly, and then pick-up.
  19. NICE! I had my Ron Glass book shipped to my parents because I was in the middle of a move, and didn't want it to get shipped all over the place before it got to me. The only two I am missing are Morena Baccarin (I missed getting my book over there by a day) and Sean Maher. I'd like to get a Joss sig on a book, as well.
  20. I need to dig through my boxes in storage and get my art supplies out. Every time I start something, it gets interrupted, and then I ended up boxing everything up when I moved a few weeks ago. I had started a project where my dog and cat and my brother's family's dogs and cats were upgraded We3-type operatives. . . my dog obviously will have the most firepower, since she has easily caused the most destruction of property out of the group. I still need to get a new couch.
