I suggest PM'ing Dre and asking if he knows if he'll have extras. That way if he does he might be able to hook you up. Otherwise you'll probably have to end up waiting for them to hit eBay. The only other boardie that "may" end up with a few is Ryan.

I think it has to do with them being marked for charity. I had to select the "giving works" to end up seeing them.

That's a freaking great idea. Though I've never cracked a book and resubbed again, so I don't know how it all works. Any SS experts care to weigh in? That Suydam sketch on my 109 was my first ever SS sub, and I was confused as hell when going through it.

I still think they're graded based on how they are. I wouldn't think CGC grades differently for HI. That's one of the reasons I wanted to stay away from the books with wrap covers and major colors, those would be the ones I'm worried about coming in low grades.

If you buy one of these from Hero Initiative instead of donating to a charity, I wouldn't count on getting any deduction, if that type if thing matters to you. Usually, you have to reduce your contribution by anything you receive in return. I don't intend on claiming it on my taxes. I was just saying that this is a "charitable" donation and it dips into my intended donations for the year.

That's gonna be a tough number to get one at. Though could still be likely, especially since it seems the HI auctions tend to peter out near the end. Then again, it is WD and new collectors can be pretty reckless. It's also for charity, so it has that going for it as well. I usually donate several thousand to charities throughout the year, so I've set my limit based on what we'd normally donate to them anyways.

I don't know man... Some of these look poised to end at less than $750. Though I guess we'll see on Friday.
