  1. What I find more interesting is that OA has Rick on the cover but the actual cover to 90 is Glenn holding the shotgun.
  2. Can this thread be deleted and the talk of the actual book take place in a new thread? You people obsessing with these variants are detracting from the actual comic itself. What's going to happen when the green and purple ones show up? A whole other calamity for each one? To all of you willing to spend this asinine amount of money on these variants I'm sure I can get my son to color my 1st prints whatever color you want at 1/2 the cost to you.
  3. Highly doubt that. The comicspro WD 81 was "supposedly" that way too. Then what happened? The extras showed right up at C2E2 and were sold at the con as well. This variant is most likely limited to 500.
  4. Proving what again? It looks like you just reiterated what we knew.
  5. Those who know about the 35 error know this is wrong. He's certainly going to dupe someone into buying this. Especially with the price where it's at so far.
  6. Don't worry. I won't be sinking anymore money in NWM. Just not worth wasting money on it, nor stressing out about having them all either.
  7. If you don't know the answer, I don't need to explain it (exposure, hype, name recognition, readers, sales, market share, etc., etc., etc.) You realize that image only gets the money from initial sales right? After its been covered on their end it starts to line others pockets. Gaining readership is one thing but these "speculators and flippers" reap the majority of these benefits.
  8. How doesn't it? You make these special "variants" for causes which drives the market crazy (CP & CBLDF - case in point) the collectors are now stuck with artificial pricing because "everybody" needs one. As I mentioned earlier, I'm pretty much put off by what image is doing variant wise over the last 7 months.
  9. How is image getting money for these? This only hurts the collectors.
  10. Lucky. My LCS did not go to the meeting. I believe you have to show up to the meeting to get. Just being on the list does not get you one. For shops to recover the cost of hotel and air fair they do these issues. I'm pretty sure if you're a member, you're able to order these variants without attending. Some of the older variants are still able to be purchased. At least that's what my LCS tells me
  11. I think I'm officially done collecting this book, possibly all image together. The constant barrage of variant covers over the last 7 months is starting to irritate me something fierce.
  12. Andy came through for me!!!! Filling in my PP run that my LCS couldn't be bothered to do. The packaging could have survived an explosion. Stellar Boardie in my book. Thanks again Tim
  13. 10th anniversary of The Walking Dead is October 2013. Last year was Image Comics' 20th anniversary, and we celebrated the 100th issue of TWD in July. -e.s. Eric Stephenson Publisher Image Comics, Inc. www.imagecomics.com Sorry to detract from NWM but does October mean there's another 18 covers coming for WD?
  14. What happened to collecting a title just because you enjoy it? Why are most currently focused on how to squeeze every last cent out of every book they can? I collect Chew because its a fantastic book. I'm not out there looking to maximize profits by buying 30 of each issue in anticipation of it blowing up or containing a first appearance of a major character. Seems like the recent influx of members here only have profiteering on their minds as opposed to the story in the book.
  15. If it's not, it will be shortly. I bet you just gave all the newcomers their "idea"
  16. No. Not even maybe, just no. Remember the scene where Andrea is asking Milton where the Governor is? BOOM, he was already at the prison. Also, I think you guys are looking too hard for problems with the show. If something goes unanswered, it's usually answered in the next episode or so. Don't they need to create a "hook" for viewers to want to come back and watch the next episode? Your opinion. Mine is it IS her. She asked and then ran off. The GOV. did not expect the zombie-bomb. Is was not planned by him. One of us will eat our words... I'm ok if it's me. So you think she outfitted a truck with a drawbridge opening, herded 2 dozen walkers into it, not only found riot gear but gear that fit her perfectly, and was then able to get to the prison within a small amount of time and at the exact moment she did? The gov's reaction to watching the van head towards the gates was sadistic glee and anticipation, not shock and surprise, not at all. What Chris said. I condend the truck was already at Woodbury as well as the zombies. All Andrea had to do was back up, load, and go. I understand this logically doesn't make sense, but still, something is fishy. It was a female exiting the truck. Like I said, I'm prepared to eat my words, but am excited to see more people against my theory as well - make for an interesting debate!! #RyansEpicFailoftheWeek Since we all seem to agree it was a female driving a truck perhaps it was Lori driving..... she was driving the truck and talking on the phone too... That would explain why she hit the fence.
  17. Let TM be a sourpuss. It would only motivate me to buy from CA more. I'm not into OA, but anyone who acts like this is an instant put-off anyways.
  18. Not only funny but hilarious to see him basically tell her to get some self respect. Your obsession with Andrea is a weird one.
  19. It works somewhat well. Though when people quote them its completely useless. You're still seeing their annoying drivel.
  20. Since nobody plans on posting it... Here's the 110 Solicitation
  21. 1k. Reserve not met yet. http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2Fauctions%2Fsearch%2Easp%3Fwhere%3Dsell%26title%3DWalking%2520dead%26ItemType%3DCB%23Item%5F962164&id=962164
  22. Wait it out. The book is only 4.99 in store. There should be plenty for sale on their site some point in the next few days/week. No point in spending $20 for it right now.
  23. I hit two Hastings in town. One got twenty copies, the other got 5. Some were beat. I hand picked some nice copies. Even though the cover price was 2.99, at the register they rang up 4.99. Out of the 147 Hastings, I wonder what the print run will be? I looked and didn't see it for order on the website, so it will be interesting to see where it goes. Print run on the Hastings exclusive is 3k.
