  1. Indeed. It was an off-day for Basil. Maybe i have to start my collection with the ugliest cover and then it's nowhere but up. I was looking at that FM 9 you're selling. First Gogos cover. mmmmmm. Did you happen to catch i wasa the one who bought that Gathering horror book from mrwoogieman ? I received it a few days ago. Mindboggling.Copy 296 out of 300. Can't believe my luck on that one.
  2. There's a store here called Nickscomics and on the website, there's a nice pic of a few FM's.Number 13 and number 47 which i first thought to be number 10 since its the same cover.I called him and he said number 13 is around 40 bucks. Dagnabbit. Only open from Thursday to Sunday,so i'll go check the quality then.
  3. I have a buddy who's got a number 2 he might be convinced to part with. You know, the old these are not the droids you're looking for.
  4. I just went to ebay and bought a copy of this. Had never even seen it before! Those are great.Didn't last long though.8 issues and 1 annual only. Number 4 cover with the Wolfman is really spectacular.
  5. I guess we lose the joke on that one huh ?
  6. Seriously? Seriously. He is still very involved in comics and collecting. He was the final president of the old American Assoc. of Comic Collectors. He has avidly interviewed and filmed as many of the living early creators as possible with the hopes of eventually doing a documentary. He has 100s of hours of film compiled. He is still a huge fan. And while he is in great shape, sadly the Cap suit doesn't fit any longer. Am i the only one who lost consciousness at the mention of..has 100 of hours of film compiled. He should really try the Kickstarter thing.
  7. Well,i was looking for a few items to put in my funny and i came across this, but i think if i do a bit of research,i'm pretty sure it's only always been like a famous myth.
  8. Can you imagine the tour at the Smithsonian ? "look Henrietta,The Hope diamond, the Gettysburg address John Dillinger's penis...pack of Juicy fruit ? "
  9. I only know this bit of trivia. The first ever commercial product to be bought with a barcode was a 10-pack of Wrigley’s Juicy Fruit gum. It was purchased at Marsh’s Supermarket in Troy, Ohio, USA, on June 26, 1974, by Clyde Dawson. It was scanned by Sharon Buchanan at 8:01 am.The historic pack of gum and the receipt are now on display in the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C.
  10. I swear those darn punks will bring chaos ands anarchy wherever they walk. Send it to me.I'll dispose of it and your record will remain spotless. The Supes 53 is also pretty swell.
  11. I'm not really the type to buy Heavy Metal, but when i saw the top right corner,i just had to. You always see the usual suspects concerning Blade runner, the Cinefex number 9,the Cinefantastique double cover with ST 2:wrath of Khan one, those few issues of Starlog, the fantastic films ones, etc. But i was happy to find this in one of the few boxes of magazines at a LCS.And in pretty good shape too. There is a nice full page obituary of Philip K.Dick
  12. Doing just great.Thanks. In 2 days i'll be getting my newly bought complete-full-and-entire-from-number-1-to-the-last-Cinefex collection. So obviously, Should be good for a thread filled with pics by next week.

  18. And guess where its being shot ? Thats right, here in Montreal.I think the saving on productions are amazing here. To get into the Avengers 's shawarma train, there will be a scene with Wolverine. "Good job with the Sentinels, now lets go get that poutine." He's canadian after all.
  19. Hi fellas, Would any of you know if he Steranko would actually do artwork inside a book ? I was thinking of making him sign my Steranko:Graphic narrative book from the 1978 Winnipeg exhibition, but i'd be awesome if he was to accept doing artwork inside one of the white pages and sign it.
  20. I have 2 i found and i was about to post them soon,so i guess the best place is in this thread right ? Black terror is easy, but that kid in the corner back,i cant tell. Story behind the first pic was this kid at the table rents out comics in the Phillipines to help his family.

  22. Anyone of you have a signed Ditko comic ? Or a scan at least. That'd be a good start.
  23. Like the Empress said, that one does seem to be the culprit. I'm just wondering why one time he would only sign Steve.
