  1. Kudos to the_rocketeer for the sweet 9.6 GS Conan #1. Shipping was lightning fast (though he does live about 30 miles south of me).
  2. Super double Kudos to SilverSurfer and BigMike for the sweet Thor 262 and a great deal on some Gold Key Star Treks!! Much thanks to you BOTH!
  3. Kudos to Bob Storms for some great books! Super fast shipping! Second Kudos to Andrew (GACollectibles) for the VERY cool Star Reach and Quack books!
  4. Kudos to Marc from HouseOfComics for a bunch of awesome SSOCs and Incredible Hulk issues!
  5. That's it? I think we're approaching close to 1500 at my house. I hear you about the co-worker thing though.
  6. Coins AND Special Edition leatherbound books (such as the ones that are/were printed for Wheel of Time; Stephen King; etc.)
  7. What's with the tongue sticking greggy? I've been doing pretty well. Still not financially wealthy, but I'm workin' on it.
  8. I sent in like 10 books total from what I can remember: X-Men 94 - 7.5 Hulk 181 x 2 - 5.0 & 6.0 respectively X-Men 32 - 8.0 ASM 129 - 8.0 or 8.5 That's all I can remember - seeing as ALL were advertised as NM I was a little peeved to say the least. Thus I claim the title in my sig line.
  9. Thanks for the response. I understand your opinon, but we'll just have to agree to disagree. Meth doesn't need my defense, but mistakes do happen. I can read the posts against him as well as anyone. I've never bought one of his books so I won't prosecute him on rumors alone, besides all the words that have been thrown about in regards to his business have resolved nothing and only contributed to this Forum becoming a name calling free-for-all. Couple of helpful suggestions for your posts: Bold type is best used to puncuate your point as I used it above. You obviously don't have to do this, but it might make your posts easier to read and maybe better understood. Wisdom is also knowing when NOT to reply to purposely juvenille posts, 100% correct so you can expect no further responses to your posts by me.
  10. I wade into this fray reluctantly... I was once told (and believe wholeheartedly) that one of the keys to winning any battle is wisdom. Wisdom to know when not to fight, i.e., it's just not worth the irritation. The other tidbit I remember is pain tolerance. It doesn't matter how much bigger the other guy is, if you can withstand whatever punishment he or she can dish out you'll win. Belief and willpower will triumph everytime. Of course I welcome opposing viewpoints.
  11. The only drawback with E. Gerber is that orders can NOT be done online The one drawback that keeps me from ordering from E. Gerber. I know, a phone call isn't that big of a deal, but I'm possibly the laziest soul on the planet. Convenience is #1.
  12. I think Steve or Paul indicated previously that they keep the ones they can, to re-use probably for storage and throw out those that are too beat up.
  13. deeply religious tone You have my full support and blessing my son. May your actions in this endeavor bear good fruit. Can I get an Amen?!? tone off Hope that wasn't too goofy. Seriously, I'd CGC even VG copies of Hulk 181 (might draw the line for a Fair). Good luck to you!
  14. Oh he's safe for now. I'm about to leave my current job and hunt for a new one so I'll be busy for the next couple of weeks at least.
  15. Darth, whatever are we going to do with you? I will say that Arch hit your title to a tee.
  16. Hmmm...I don't think I'm looking for that kind of 'unique' CGC collectible. Thanks for thinking of me!
  17. Would you mind terribly not posting in all CAPS? I'm one of those that construe this as yelling. Just a friendly request.
  18. Sheesh...here I thought I had actually missed something.
  19. CI does have an uncanny knack at finding incredible eBay deals on a continual basis. He let me in on an Iron Fist #4 30 cent variant CGC 9.4 that I picked up for less than slab cost. Tons of other examples, but that is the one that really sticks out in my mind. BUNCHES of 30 cent variant auctions recently - seemed like the seller was having a fire sale or something. Silly me didn't bid high enough on some of 'em, but I did pretty well. Now if you can just get me a 9.9 Hulk 181 for 20 bucks I'll be a happy camper!
  20. For those like scottish who can't grade While I will concede that this is a factual assessment...it pains me to see you point it out at every possible opportunity. Is VA sunny this time of year?
  21. I'd say. You're another Fort Knox shipper greggy. CI - I think there are inexpensive ways to ship just about anything. I try and keep all packing material I receive, but my wife starts to grumble when it gets to be too much.
