  1. Jimbo; I've been meaning to get the 110 slabbed forever but just haven't gotten around to it. Think I will take care of business next week after my daughter goes back to College. Here it is, anyway (Nevermind look in the Strange Tales Thread where i should be putting it....... )
  2. Ditto!!! (thumbs u here's one you sorely need, however...
  3. Thanks Jimbo - I remember the first time i ever showed it to anyone. Back around 1988 - the local comic shop guy had to call his buddy to tell him about the JIM #83 that had just walked in the door...
  4. you've hit the proverbial nail on the head... (thumbs uaccording to the boys down south there is a small chunk missing from an interior page (I think Newt tore it out by accident ). the missing piece is located in the margin only.i think the book looks at least a 7.5 and that would make a small missing interior piece worth at least a full point... :oHell that AF 15 graded 5.0 ( in the af 15 appreciation thread) has got accumulated marvel chipping that big and it's on the cover!! Oh well, who ya gonna call???
  5. Here's my JIM # 83, purchased at Sid's Luncheonette the same day as my AF # 15... I humbly submit that this is the nicest looking CGC 6.5 on the planet...
  6. the renewal of this thread is just such a nice surprise. almost everyone is behaving and we're getting much more detailed info on this INCREDIBLE accomplishment... (thumbs u
  7. Great to see you back on the boards, Ian...and sharing some new pics of your FABULOUS collection... (thumbs u
  8. I fully intend on paying Shep for the two books. As soon as I hit the I'll take it a PM arrived from a dealer I owe money to and probably by coincidence for all I know and I over reacted like a jack-azz. I'll will pay all parties I owe funds to this Friday and once again I apologize for the mess I created. I won't let it happen again. [/quote these boys must love you, Fazy - i haven't heard "burn the witch" once...
  9. OK, here goes in the order that they are scanned; (all 10 centers and all part on the Sid's Collection).
  10. Always loved that cover from the first time that i saw it as an advertisement back in the 50's................. I've got some SA's that are already hosted and i'll post them momentarily.
  11. Trmoore is already running one with absolutely no adverse effects except all this wasted bickering over it! now this is a post that makes total sense............to me.... (thumbs u think i may even bid on it just to move things along........
  12. 68 years old...9.4...white pages. Sweet........... (thumbs u
  13. 2 great ped examples of this book!! The WM does seem a little nicer. I hope that Canadian WM black hole appreciates his copy!!! JIM 91 White Mountain, Green River, Mass, all in 9.2 - Bah!!! Here's the Sid's Luncheonette copy that i sold a couple of years back. (PQ was ow/w) The buyer also grabbed FF's 15 and 25 in 9.2 and Sgt Fury 13 & ST 114 in 9.0........quite a haul...
  14. I'm going to post some very nice raw ST's in the Sales forum tonight and tomorrow. Starting off tonight with the Torch/Thing issues (101, 106, 125, 126 (2), 127, 131, 132 and 134 - all 7.5's or better except for the 101) then moving onto Nick Fury tomorrow. My first venture into Board selling.......... say a prayer for me.........
  15. and to a point that ACES made, while they do not refund fees (as far as I'm aware) if the submitter overgraded the book, they are very judicious in when and how frequently they come after you for more money when you undergrade. and, as I've told Scott Talmadge on the few occasions that he had to call and ask for more money - that's a call that i welcome. when my FF # 11 got graded at 9.4 and the FMV was somewhere between 4000-10,000, they only bumped me up to the express service tier cost, as I recall............ Hard to argue with that or the fact that it probably all evens out in the end......... (thumbs u
  16. The List of RAW 12 cent Strange Tales that i will be bringing to NYC this weekend is up in the Marketing/Advertising Forum. i've only included books graded at 7.0 or better a a Key or two. there will be many other mid/low grade books. hope to see some of you there...................Harry.

  18. Here's a Winnepeg that I unknowingly owned..........Namisgr saw it in the Strange Tales appreciation thread and clued me in. apparently SNE called it a NM 94 way back when, the seller called it a 6.5 and i'm thinking it's an 8.0 - go figure................
