  1. Tainted meat is definitely fear of the unknown, so it's absolutely psychological warfare. Everyone is already infected, but the thing is, how many people in TWD universe actually know that? Aside from that, the "virus" itself is it airborne? That would probably make most sense since every human being is infected. Since it's likely it isn't foodborne, eating an infected person would probably not cause the cannibal to become more sick, would it?

What we do know is that zombie bites are a kiss of death and those bit die most of the time and rather quickly too. So, what about the zombie bite causes people to die and would there be a correlation with that and eating tainted meat?

    :ohnoez:

  2. I haven't seen this posted here yet:

Really intersting piece and quite possibly the coolest Adlard WD art I've ever seen. That is in my humble opinion of course, and I am not the seller. I really have no clue what a piece like this could go for as it's so unique. Anyone know what it was used for or thoughts on the price?

That’s the cover art for the Image Comics 2010 San Diego Comic-Con Yearbook.

    It's so freaking beautiful!!

It's not a common book from what I seen either...... If I remember correctly, it's the first appearance of NWM as well. :tonofbricks:

Yeah, iirc e.s. said that 1,500 copies had been printed.

  3. I have posted a report in CG about The Lakes International Comic Art Festival.... here's the gallery that has some TWD stuff in it. As mentioned in the report the puzzled look on Charlie's face can be explained in two (three) words "Who's Bernie?" ... it took him a minute for the penny to drop.

A big thankyou again to James J for supplying a fat stack of blanks (worship) They were put to good use, two were given to some of the festival helpers at Adlard's table on different days and they got sketches. I will be giving away a few goodies later in the week once I have had time to think about a format. Not necessarily what you see pictured hm

The show looks like very personal and like a lot of fun. I literally laughed the last 2 or 3 minutes over the Bernie expression. This is stuff we share and the guys who come along 10 or 12 years from now will also wonder, " who the heck IS Bernie ? " :roflmao:

:applause: I hafta get me an Adlard sketch some day soon. I was reading Batman/Scarface: A Psychodrama today; so a Batman sketch from Adlard sounds really good right about now.

  5. So...

Was Bob actually bitten in the poo-stream?

Was that a 'tear' on the right shoulder of his shirt - a bite or scratch do that?

I'm sure I saw something when he surfaced from the water, but afterwards it was dark so I wasn't sure?

Ditto, this is what I was wondering:

I was thinking when he was walking out of the church looking forlorn, he had sustained a bite maybe? Then he is outside crying which made me really believe that is what happened. Anyone know?

I'm assuming that he went outside because he was hurt physically (zombie bite) and emotionally (he knows his death is imminent). He was leaving to protect the group, just like Dale does in the comic book; he doesn't want them to see him suffer, die and possibly turn, thus putting the group in danger. Like Dale in the comic book, Bob is tainted meat! 2c

  6. Man, Ken K probably got a one way ticket to the netherworld and can't get out. Y'all wanna get a search & rescue party going? Someone call the Marxman!

"What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men u just can't reach which is the way he wants it. Well he gets it. I don't like it anymore than u men"

The beginning to the G n' R song Civil War... :cloud9:

That is exactly why I know that line by heart.

I see you edited a bit to fit the thread though... The original has a few more words:

"What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men."

  8. I wanted to point out to everyone on the boards that Midtown Comics website has the Five Ghosts 13 blank that comes out next week up for preorder. I made sure I ordered mine and I want to make sure that anyone that does not have a local shop that ordered these gets a chance. As far as I can tell there are 44 left. I will post this in the Wave Of Next Blanks thread as well.

I should also point out that they are 15% off the cover price.

TFAW has them a bit cheaper at 20% off... Five Ghosts 13 Blank

    (thumbs u

  9. See here is where my BS detector goes haywire...

    NYCC variant currently at $225.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/2014-NYCC-Exclusive-Wytches-1-Variant-Snyder-Signed-New-York-Comic-Con-Image-/131321694472?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item1e93620908

Ok, fine, dandy, he was able to get one, good for him, he seems like a stand-up seller by looking at his feedback. Oh yeah about that feedback...

He sold this NYCC Funko thing and the "winner" left positive feedback already saying how fast the shipping was..

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/NYCC-2014-exclusive-slimed-Ecto-1-Ghostbuster-New-York-Comic-Con-Funko-Pop-Vinyl-/141434115801

YEAH lightning fast if he "sold" it at 3:13PM Saturday and since most NYC post offices are closed on Saturday, he really had to hustle to get it in the mail for the winner to get it so fast and leave positive feedback.

Well, he could have just mailed it yesterday 1-day express. Oh never mind, Columbus Day, post office was closed.

Sorry for the long cynical post but 2+2 really does equal 4 more often than not

what would be the point tho? If these auctions really were fake. especially the toy ones.

I think the point is clearly obvious if this is in fact a shill...

  10. Are you guys at NYCC wearing Frank and Chris out ? I'm guessing they're pretty popular this week with all the usual Five Ghosts collectors and adding in the people just getting word on the TV announcement.

Frank and Chris are such cool dudes; I've checked in with them Thu & Fri so far, though I missed Frank yesterday, so I was shooting the breeze with Chris for a bit. Anyway, I cracked open a CGC SS 9.8 slab (I know :screwy: ) to add Mooneyham's sig & a remark of the vampire and it is awesome. Let's hope it retains the grade :wishluck: and sorry about the bad pic...

I also had Chris do a Joker sketch for me (I contributed to this sketch by loaning Chris my red sharpie lol )...
