  1. Weird. When he was at Wizard World Pittsburgh I didn't pay anything for sigs. I didn't get any Deadpool / Cable related books signed.

In other news, whats up with this?

That's an impressive result, but I don't expect to see many like it soon (although my CGC 9.8 would like to believe otherwise)

Unless I am looking at this wrong, the Shadowman listing ended unsold.

  2. My NYCC comics, which I did not fast track, were invoiced on 10/20/2015 and listed as shipped yesterday, 1/20/16. Oddly enough, non-fast track comics from the Chris Evans signing that were invoiced on 10/13/15 are still stuck at graded. This is the first time I have had an older submission waiting while a newer one, although only by a week, shipped.

  3. I am thrilled to see both Chris and Frank posted. I have been a fan since the start, although I do not post much. I figured I would share the two Five Ghosts commissions I was able to get at NYCC this month. First up from Chris Mooneyham:

Since you can never have too much Fabian, Garry Brown did this one for me:

I will be awaiting future issues as well as other projects. Best of luck to everyone responsible for helping to bring this series to us.

  4. I appreciate that. I have no intention of getting rich off of flipping comics, I just enjoy having them. People who know me know that I have never sold anything at all. I look forward to meeting you and hopefully being able to bring you my stuff to get signed that I can submit myself to CGC with a witness I bring over.

  5. I want to preface this by saying I am not trying to be argumentative, I just want to provide a counter point. I think some of us may be overestimating the swarm around the table making it impossible to talk with the creators. I have supported this comic from the beginning, I preordered the first issue through Midtown based on me buying and enjoying the over sized Image Comics publication. I then preordered all of the subsequent issues and arranged to pick up the NYCC 2nd print as well other issues at the 215 Ink table last year. Everyone there was extremely nice by the way. If the creators of this small publication feel it necessary to charge for signatures, that is their right and I have no issue with that. I would however point out that since many recognizable people in the industry do not charge for signatures, it might be a better way to build a fan base by not beating the relatively small number of people purchasing your work over the head. Again, if they feel they need to charge, that is their right. However, the idea of also having to pay a facilitator to get it done for me versus just grabbing a witness and getting my signatures done is a bit of a turn off. By going myself I can bring a specific marker to make sure that the color I want gets done, something that no facilitator would guarantee. I had no problem getting my Walt Simonson comics signed and witnessed last year at NYCC, so I am pretty sure CGC can handle the requests for these creators. This also saves us from having to pay someone else to do what we can, and will already be doing with other creators, easily do ourselves. I purchased ten blank Enormous covers, aside from getting in on the special Mehdi sketch opp. If I have these sketched at NYCC by other artists and then want to have Tim and Mehdi sign them would I be out because this does not fit the streamlined idea? I just ask that this idea is revisited as it is really only a win-win scenario for the person that makes money off of forcing me to turn my comics over to them instead of letting me do the work myself.

I thank everyone who took the time to read this and wish you all a good day.

  6. Out of curiosity I have a question. Even if you took off the sixth print cover, wouldn't the interior of the comic still say "Sixth Print" by the publisher information? Maybe Marvel has changed that since I ran out of time to read their stuff, but you could always look there to see if something was a second print, or whatever. If that is true, i believe removing these would make them pretty low grade, even if they were removed well.

  7. The CCA variants for issue 7 just arrived! Also - the new sketch blanks (originally scheduled for issue 6). The new blanks are fantastic, and well worth the wait. Will be sending the sketch opp books off to Mehdi this week so we can finally get this party started! :headbang:

That includes the blanks that were not part of the sketch opportunity for Medhi right?

Yes - red blanks are also in and will ship this week. :)

Great news, thanks. I order both and am excited about getting a Medhi sketch as well as figuring out who could draw some cool monsters on the others.

  9. I do not sell my comics, sorry. Also, I am a huge Captain America fan so getting my hands on this means a lot to me, so even if I did flip slabs this would be a keeper. I am sure whenever I die whoever gets my belongings will put it up for sale, but as of now I am in decent health.

  10. I was lucky enough to be able to get Mr. Rodriguez to do a sketch on my Edge of Spider-verse comic at the NY SE show and he drew the same thing. I have stared at it but cannot figure out what it is. Can someone point out what is what? I get that it is supposed to be Spider-Gwen but I cannot see what line is what. I thank you all in advance.

  11. I see certification number has been unblocked, I just do not get why anyone would do it. I know I have seen one where there was a signature that the owner did not want anyone to know about, so they blocked the name, certification number and signature but if you are displaying the whole book I do not see the advantage.

Also, I do not get why it was signed and sketched twice. However, I just figured the owner wanted to do something that no one else would do.
