Anyone notice the huge influx of BA DC horror on ebay lately? Seems there have been several, near complete high grade runs of 20-cent and later issues of HoM, HoS, Witching Hour, etc.,. on ebay lately. Not that I'm complaining!!
I saw jscomics and his HOM lot--the bidding got too frantic for me--even those 60 centers were going for $20 +... so I bailed. Who was selling HOS and Witching Hours?
I did pick up a couple of nice Ghosts/Witching Hour from nochips; his grading is spot on...
Yeah, Stu's books are pretty nice!
JS also sold runs of HoS and Witching Hour recently...

My favorite L.B. Cole romance cover....
Confessions of Love #14
Nice! Regardless of the genre, you gotta love his use of color and the rather psychadelic layout of many of his covers...

banner, what would you grade that HOS 91? Looks like a 9.0/9.2 from the scan. Very nice! Crazy that HOS 92 bombards you all the time, but a classic Adams cover (reminds me of Hitchcock's "The Birds") like this rarely shows up (in high grade).
I believe I have it on my trade list as a VF+, but it is nicely centered with good color and cover gloss so on eye appeal it might get bumped up to 9.0-ish?

Is everyone here aware of the Official DC Bronze Horror Trading Post? Ok, that's not the real title of the thread but it can be found in the marketplace forum, or at the link above. As of this weekend Sterling was not aware of the thread, so I suspect it may be news to a few others as well.

Nice color on that Shocking Mystery!
Here's a Cole Dinosaur cover...or maybe it's Godzilla?

That's a stunner. Super eye appeal and very rich colors.
Get it graded!!!!!
Hmmm...I'd put it in the fine range, but am afraid it might get the qualified label. When it arrived and I opened it up, I was a bit dismayed as there was writing on the bottom of the 1st page:

I have a copy of the Overstreet Price Guide #11 from 1980 I'd be willing to sell for $25 (cover price in 1980 was $10). It is in pristine condition, and has never been opened. There are 2 very minor creases on the upper front and back cover, but they don't break the color in any way. The cover is by L.B. Cole, and inside there are 3 full-color reproductions he did, as well as 33 full-color covers he did.
That reminds me to post these in the Official LB Cole thread...

You got some sweet copies!!!!
Thanks, but in many cases the scans look much better than would be reflected in the technical grade of the book (like Bonds' sweet Blue Bolt 115). However, you must have more high-grade copies to share!!
I agree there are plenty of Cole covers that aren't that exciting (romance, funny animal, crime, etc.,.), but as far as his horror and sci-fi stuff, it's all good.
Anyone know where to find an LB Cole cover checklist? Was one included in the CBM article?

I've posted this before, but here it is again, my only Cole cover. Drbanner, didn't you buy a Weird Blue Bolt Tales, with a Cole Cover from me?
Great cover!!
Chances are good it was me as that's one of the titles I collect...what's your ebay name?
