  1. I'm holding #1, #1 second print, #2, #2 second print, and #3 of PPZ for now, they seem to be heating up on the ebay.
  2. Out of a hundred, there are bound to be a couple that blast off and/or look awesome, but most will probably not look that great, or just lag in the market for whatever reason. I want to see them though...
  3. See, I think that both Kirkmans and Lees sigs look pretty cool. Can I read them? I can recognize them. Are there even letters there? Maybe, but I also think that Tony Moores sig looks more like a kid learning to write, than someone who has worked on having a cool sig like those other guys.
  4. Do you actually watch any content by the BBC I think that this has been talked about in the PPZ thread, but yes, Americans know a lot of BBC programming, and watch a lot of BBC-America.
  5. Nice! I'm liking that #1 2nd print cover more and more. You slangin' any of those #1s raw?
  6. I saw some online at midtown, as well as #1 third prints, but I don't know if you deal with them.
  7. . ..wouldn't you think that their printing machines would actually have a warning signal that the ink was running low so they can change ink? It's pretty neat to have both variations. I actually like it Someone commented that the printing machine does not run low on ink, but the guy mixing the colors must have been running low on one tone or another and the blend going into the printer was different between the start and finish.
  8. I'll talk a little O.T. also, even though I try not to usually. This is the type of post that I usually type out and just delete. Dre is one of this places main attractions for me because of what he does and how he does it. I first noticed the early beachbum grimm variants on ebay, and couldn't figure out if it was a brick and mortar store, or online store, or who he was. After some online searching, and some messaging on ebay, I figured that he was a really quality-committed, grass-roots, one-man show who goes out and owns it on a regular basis. So I'm like, yeah, I have to try and get next to this guy in case I need to try and get something rare or whatever. So here I am, there he is, and we should all be happy that he is out there, doing what he does on such a personalized level. It's up to the buyer to decide what and when to buy, and some of his stuff is more run-of-the-mill, and maybe a raw "9.8 worthy" book will still be in the same shape when it gets to me, or maybe not, so I usually just get that stuff elsewhere anyway. But some of his stuff is truly rare and hard to get, either with the exclusive issues, or the highest-grade cgc slabs. If he mentions something like he did about Revival, it's not like he hasn't been selling the books like hotcakes already, so he must just be dropping some knowledge and I'm not going to question his motives as to why. Dre, have you had time to read Revival yet? I would like to know what you think about it, also to get back on topic. =)
  9. Cover looks awesome! Title is awesome! Two months errmehgerd!!!! I wasn't sure how much i liked Saga when I first started reading it, but it has become a favorite of mine for a while now. Probably since the third issue, I realized that I could not wait for the next one to come out. I told my buddy (who has only collected and reads thanos-related stories for many years now) about it a couple of days ago and told him to find the back issues and read them asap!
  10. Maybe that list reacts to a higher volume of sales, even at a similar price? Kissin' seems to be a big deal these past couple of weeks, idk.
  11. Sure they have, as have the regular covers. "Nothing" rises in value without some resistance along the way. Whether or not the price will break out of that depends on many things, but if you are still speculating on the title, you buy on the dips along the way and hope for the best. I thought that issue two was pretty good, although it was not a barn-burning read full of plot developments, as many have mentioned previously. Issue three should spark more interest in the previous copies, and I think that the offering of Revival as a whole is of good quality. Google says nothing about options, but expect a strong rally if and when it does. Too much about non-sense going on in here again.
  12. Especially since the title will most likely be forgotten by next year. =O I love it though!
  13. I got three of them in and they were JACKED. Spine stress, cover impressions, bends, etc. =o =/
  14. Sorry, I could not find the "Where's the cheapest place to buy robot chicken variants" thread. =)
  15. I got that one, but $810 was quite the anomaly and not the norm. Jim I was watching that one, decided not to snipe it because I figured that there was probably a big cover on it, and was surprised when a) the guy that you out-bid was out of gas all along, and b) no one else took a shot. I figured it would be good if it went for $810.00 Just out of curiosity, why did you bid with so much time left? There was plenty of time for others to run you up or out.
  16. I received my dinner variants from mile high and opened them today. They sent them in a gigantic box (for two comics) filled with packing material and they were in nice shape. The only thing that I could find wrong with them was some very minor ink transfer from the back cover onto the front cover by the staples. I don't know how badly that would affect grade, but at least there was no shipping damage. I also received some #2's from midtown with a couple of minor "ncb" spine dents throughout the lot, so good enough for me when it saves me from going to my LCS, with their faulty A/C and stock of wavy books. I stopped going there a long time ago because of that. I'm looking forwards to reading it, just have to find a time when I'm not pre-occupied with reality. =)
  17. I'm guessing that they want him to look like a little kid (who has grown a bit taller), holding a big bad gun.
  18. I am haggling with a gentleman currently... he seems very serious and lives near by (which is odd since I live in the middle of nowhere!) - we are discussing a face-to-face pick up. Face to face? Middle of nowhere? Pack and have some back, dude.
  19. Yeah I put too much on that one, before I knew much about the ottley sketch variant. I'm hoping that some more of those comixology variants come to light at some point in the future and they are affordable again for a day or so. That book is doing very well right now, and I want one!
