  1. Yeah, emails from the "back-order" department? Yargh! Well if they're still selling them now for one hundred dollars, then they still have them to begin with, so I'm not worried about that. We will see if they meet my ship-in-a-box specifications. =)
  2. I think that Revival is a better title than most to spend a few dollars on the first few books, have a few extra issues to sell early if you want to cover, and then see if it pans out on down the way for whatever you have left. I for one, did not preview order as many #1s as I should have, but if the story continues to flow, I think that it will be a slow burner among comic book collectors, and I think that we'll see some "cups with handles", so I even bought a couple over cover. ( oh no) I still have trouble deciding about buying 2nd ( or beyond ) prints of anything. Back in the 80s/90s when I used to collect a lot, most things after the first print were generally regarded as worthless, but it was a different market back then. Now, supply is more tightly controlled. I still always think "meh, second print, probably wasting my money." , which proves to be the wrong train of thought out there in modern collector-land more often than I would expect these days. I still almost never buy them. I don't trust myself enough to send modern stuff off to get graded, I figure I'll be in that boat with Rosen, and there goes however much that cost me to figure out. =)
  3. Five bucks is five bucks, what can you say. =)
  4. That was my high price point so I ordered a couple, which gave me free shipping, plus I added insurance for a couple of extra dollars. I bought something there before, can't remember what happened so it couldn't have been that bad. I also asked 'em to use a box.
  5. Between Revival #1 being back in stock and a VF copy of ToT #1, I think that you guys have managed to slow midtown down to a crawl right at the moment. =)
  6. =/ I hate when they put their weekly releases up so early, they're sold out of a couple of things that I was going to pick up, unless they post up some more on the 8th.... That being said, I'm not sure if buying a bunch of these would be worth it to me because I would guess that there will be a good deal of these made. It might be better for me to just put that money towards a couple more first prints, even though I can't find any for cover or under at this time. Did anyone post the cover yet?
  7. Got my GFT Beachbum exclusive, and some TWD SDCC covers, and an SDCC ASM cover, thanks to dre going out there and doing it. This guy should be one of every comic collectors grassroots heroes. Thanks man!
  8. It did for me. They were a few dollars cheaper at the open, and as of last week when I picked up a couple.
  9. I got one in great shape a while ago from an online shop a little while after they came out, and have not seen any go for cheaper since. In fact, a lot more usually. I must have confused this title with another recent one, as I had it in my head that this was a 12 issue deal. Thanks for letting me know, I hope it stays as great as it is now.
  10. Read #4 and #5 last night, and this book just keeps on being awesome! I really hope that it becomes an ongoing series. Within the last few days, I watched a couple of the RRP auctions on the bay, thinking I might snag one, and saw them go for a lot more than I was expecting, over a couple of hundred dollars each for raws, and one was listed in "vf/nm" condition. Before, I was seeing them go for maybe the $150 range on average for a long time. Certianly under two bills for the most part. Is this spike due to more cgc-graded copies of the RRP having become available?
  11. Read #1 last night, and it is creepy and good! The potential is there for a great read, we will see what the market will bear over time though. Someone was talking about the aliens earlier, I did not see the spaceship or whatever they had mentioned, where was it?
  12. Not all of these are BBC produced, but Mr. Bean's show eventually got a movie, & Top Gear & Wheeler Dealers are popular with the the gear heads, the Two Fat Ladies sold a bunch of cookbooks here, Teletubbies were big for a while, there's that crazy chef Gordon Ramsay, and there're are a number of people who watch BBC News every night over here, the list goes on and on and covers many different gamuts!
  13. First prints have got to and held value for all of this time, and now are ticking up again, and people still want to buy them, so probably not! Did you pull them out of the dollar bin?
  14. These half-covers all needed the virgin cover treatment or relocation of the information. It's not bad enough that it's half a page of art to begin with, so let's aggravate the situation by stamping things all over it. I was thinking of getting a couple of #100 second prints if they were going to move through quietly, but I don't know now about getting any of these additional printings now. I would guess that there is more likely to be a big print run for all of them so it won't be like with the earlier 2nd's that are actually harder to find, and worth a bit of coin. But maybe orders of #100 2nd will still be low due to current overstock. Do you guys think that any of these could still be a sleeper and actually be worth a few bucks more, later on down the trough?
  15. =o ! A lot of people are jumping on this title. ( That listing is over $40 even now, if you add in s&h. =) )
  16. These always crack me up. How's his feedback doing? Link to auction?
  17. Esta muy bueno! Too bad I originally went in on a couple of regulars. You still might be able to get the "awesome" variant first hand for list which has been under 15 bucks. I picked up a couple, a couple of days ago because I couldn't find any more regulars for cheap.
  18. My buddies and I would wait all week, every week, for that show. That may have been the greatest show ever.
  19. I'm sure that it's nothing to worry about.
  20. Sorry if someone already brought this up, but what are peoples takes on the "michonne special" coming out in October? Sounds like it reprints issue #19 and also includes an origin story, blah blah blah...cool cover though.
  21. Based on the trailers, the show seems like it's locked and loaded, and I'm looking forward to it. I hope that it continues to move at the pace and be as engaging as, say, the last six episodes. The ending of the "Nebraska" episode is probably somewhere on my "Top 10 Most Awesome TV Scenes Ever", and we want more of that caliber of TV.
  22. Who decided to turn down two stacks is what I want to know. =) The title probably wasn't helping with views, (I know that I never saw it) but I doubt that $1500 to start with was going to incite any bidding wars.
  23. Watching now. R.Kirkman's on there, slangin' comics. =)
  24. If someone jacks the price up on something and it's already at FMV, and you decide not to buy it, chances are that most people would not either.
