  1. I have a wedding on 10-27 that conflicts with the announcement and I don't think 'I can't go because I'm refreshing a comic message board thread waiting to hear about some variants' is a good excuse. Care to tell me early? I promise not to say anything.

  2. NYCC red foil hardcover compendium on Skybound site for $100.00

honestly, i just dont understand the difference between this one and the sdcc one other than the color.

??? Is the story content the same in both books?

Silly you - people aren't buying this stuff to read :baiting:

    :o That's insane.

It's the same book only different color lettering on the front and the NYCC one has 1500 printed. The SDCC gold foil was 1,000 printed

  3. hey guys,

I got a black and white sketch off a vendor who told me that there was a lot of people at the breakfast and he said that they all got a copy. He figured based on the table size and all there was about 350 to 400 people there.

The print on it will end up being at least 250, more likely 500. Anything otherwise is wishful thinking and artificial price inflating. 2c

    EDIT: http://www.diamondcomics.com/Home/1/1/3/736?articleID=113135

Breakfast was FREE to all diamond retailers and a guest. Doubt they put on an event for 100 people.

  4. Rosen where did image confirm the 500 number? Would you please share the link? Thanks!

    BEDLAM #1 NYCC Exclusive variant

    Category: Comic

    story NICK SPENCER

    art/cover RILEY ROSSMO

Fillmore Press was once Madder Red, a homicidal maniac and criminal overlord who terrorized the town of Bedlam for years. Then he got better. This is what happens next. A double-sized introduction to a blood-soaked cityscape of murder, mayhem, and mystery by NICK SPENCER (MORNING GLORIES, THIEF OF THIEVES) and RILEY ROSSMO (REBEL BLOOD, GREEN WAKE)!

available at the Image Comics booth #1229

    (limited to 500) $5.00

  5. That's because Dre and other people can actually purchase the NYCC variant. The B/W was given away free. Which means Dre and others can't just walk up and purchase 20 of them. I'd be shocked if it was any less than 250.

Image has already confirmed there were 500 of NYCC. Unless they are just lying

  6. Talked to Tim about the variants today.

Not a big deal. A very popular retailer and a few of his compadres are going to be getting variant covers of some of the issues. I might be the first 12 issues, I cannot remember.

Wat I do know is that they are not needed, as they are printed up at a later date, ala Invincible #1

So they are like reprints almost?

  7. If there are 12 variants, i'm going to be pissed off
    +1
    Why? x2

It means more beautiful Jenny Frison artwork to look at.

Also just like with UA #1 or WD #100 no one is going to make you buy them.

I'm all for more Jenny covers but 12 variants? Seems like overkill.

  8. Though I couldn't make it to NYCC I managed to pick up some new Revival artwork.

Cover for issue #6 and the cover for Larry's variant for issue #2.

    :applause:

Still waiting for you to sell me the #5 :baiting:

  9. It never ends. The sketch better be super limited, because the regular NYC variant is reportedly 500 copies and looks a hell of a lot better in color.

+1 That thing is hideous. I don't even want a copy of it.

  10. There was one the other day I was tracking that was at $1700 before I stopped paying attention. I'd be shocked if that auction wasn't ended early or taken down.

Oh, it was a reserve auction. no one bids on those because they are a pointless listing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Walking-Dead-1-CGC-9-8-NM-MT-White-Pages-Kirkman-Image-2003-No-Reserve-/360494141380?item=360494141380&ViewItem=&nma=true&si=UZqy5ZhqWbvJgywGcms26DFv93Q%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Edit: I like how the title says No Reserve yet it says Reserve not met by the price
