NYCC red foil hardcover compendium on Skybound site for $100.00
honestly, i just dont understand the difference between this one and the sdcc one other than the color.
Is the story content the same in both books?
Silly you - people aren't buying this stuff to read
That's insane.
It's the same book only different color lettering on the front and the NYCC one has 1500 printed. The SDCC gold foil was 1,000 printed

Defects look pressable to me. 2 pages on this gave me a headache. I'll pay the $10 joeypost pressing fee is you guys give it a rest...
+1. Just give the guy $10-15 back so he can press it.

Wish I could afford some
Possible spoiler alert

hey guys,
I got a black and white sketch off a vendor who told me that there was a lot of people at the breakfast and he said that they all got a copy. He figured based on the table size and all there was about 350 to 400 people there.
The print on it will end up being at least 250, more likely 500. Anything otherwise is wishful thinking and artificial price inflating.
EDIT: http://www.diamondcomics.com/Home/1/1/3/736?articleID=113135
Breakfast was FREE to all diamond retailers and a guest. Doubt they put on an event for 100 people.

Rosen where did image confirm the 500 number? Would you please share the link? Thanks!

Because there's been 4 sold, all BIN, one for $130 $150, $200, and $225
I have a hard time believing some of them aren't straight shill buys considering when that one that sold for 200 and 225, there were others listed at lower BIN's.
-
That's because Dre and other people can actually purchase the NYCC variant. The B/W was given away free. Which means Dre and others can't just walk up and purchase 20 of them. I'd be shocked if it was any less than 250.
Image has already confirmed there were 500 of NYCC. Unless they are just lying
-
I'd say boardies picked up at least 100 of them. Have a hard time believing b/w is a 100 print run. 10% of the entire run would've already been put on eBay if that's the case. I'd be assuming it's a 500 run too.
-
Talked to Tim about the variants today.
Not a big deal. A very popular retailer and a few of his compadres are going to be getting variant covers of some of the issues. I might be the first 12 issues, I cannot remember.
Wat I do know is that they are not needed, as they are printed up at a later date, ala Invincible #1
So they are like reprints almost?

Just saw there's now 28 lucille 9.8 SS books on the registry. 24 9.6's. So unless there's some sitting non-fast track, that should be close to final tally on yellows.

Between Walking Dead/Dexter/Homeland/Talking Dead, I'm not going to be going to work on Monday's for at least 8 weeks.

The 12 variants are not for one particular issue.
They are for different issues.
I am presuming (I have no solid facts just math / timing) that we will see a different variant each month for 2013.
12 variants / 12 months in a year.
That I'm perfectly fine with. I just don't like variant overload like WD #100.
-
Why? x2
+1If there are 12 variants, i'm going to be pissed offIt means more beautiful Jenny Frison artwork to look at.
Also just like with UA #1 or WD #100 no one is going to make you buy them.
I'm all for more Jenny covers but 12 variants? Seems like overkill.
-
If there are 12 variants, i'm going to be pissed off

Though I couldn't make it to NYCC I managed to pick up some new Revival artwork.
Cover for issue #6 and the cover for Larry's variant for issue #2.
#6
Larry's Variant for #2 (literally the sister image to my #1)
Still waiting for you to sell me the #5
-
HR........?
Not me, I promise.
-
It never ends. The sketch better be super limited, because the regular NYC variant is reportedly 500 copies and looks a hell of a lot better in color.
+1 That thing is hideous. I don't even want a copy of it.

There was one the other day I was tracking that was at $1700 before I stopped paying attention. I'd be shocked if that auction wasn't ended early or taken down.
Oh, it was a reserve auction. no one bids on those because they are a pointless listing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Walking-Dead-1-CGC-9-8-NM-MT-White-Pages-Kirkman-Image-2003-No-Reserve-/360494141380?item=360494141380&ViewItem=&nma=true&si=UZqy5ZhqWbvJgywGcms26DFv93Q%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
Edit: I like how the title says No Reserve yet it says Reserve not met by the price
-
Yikes! I bet it's the only WD grade of it's kind! RARE!!
-
Thank for the tip there is one person selling pre-orders on the bay right now.
$33?

Off topic posts are fine with me as long as they are funny and worth it. I posted off topic about that 27slashb site although the first one was walking dead related. Then it went off on a tangent. So my rule with off topic posts is that it better be funny or i'll be annoyed. The Liam Neeson video qualified as funny so it's acceptable to me (thumbs u

I have a wedding on 10-27 that conflicts with the announcement and I don't think 'I can't go because I'm refreshing a comic message board thread waiting to hear about some variants' is a good excuse. Care to tell me early? I promise not to say anything.![](//content.invisioncic.com/r266625/emoticons/angel.gif.f2c725474a05fea1144b755c91213f29.gif)
