  1. I'd say with those folded/bent corners these are only 6.0s at best . . .
  2. GPA shows a 6.5 sold this January, a 6.0 sold this May and a 3.5 this April (not to mention a 9.8 - oh, wait, that's a 2013 modern renumbering issue that somehow got thrown in with the old books . . . ) - but no sales for quite a while before that.
  3. Just show us what you sold William and spare us the fantasy that we might be able to get one of these?
  4. Wow Comics 33, 5.0. Another beautiful cover, 2 spots where looks like a drop of water fell on the cover and then wiped off. One ding on Mary's skirt. Back cover has roughness on left edge and a piece out of bottom. Last page has small piece out at same spot. Interior cf is loose, supple cream pages. No CGC sales on GPA for over 5 years. One on the bay (from another company) asking $250. I'll ask $200.
  5. Superman 41, 6.5. Another beautiful cover. Main issues here are reading creases along spine, tears near staples, and sun shadow on back cover. Top edge has very very minor chipping/rubbing. Otherwise a glossy bright cover, page quality is cream to off white. Tight book. Last sale was 6.5 for $430 in 2018. Asking $400.
  6. Debbie Dean Comics 1, 8.0. Would be even higher but sun shadows and small rip and stain on back cover. So. yeah, those are the issues. Not sure what to ask, so feel free to make offers. No GPA, a #2 in CGC 5.0 sold for $204 a couple years ago. One sold on the bay claiming VF but looks more like F or so for $125. I guess I'll have to ask $200.
  7. Patsy Walker 3, 6.0/6.5. This is one of those that looks and feels like a higher grade, but has some technical issues. Cover is stunning glossy and inky, a slight bend bottom right hard to notice and doesn't come anywhere near breaking color. Crinkle on her tush, not sure where it came from. Spine amazing. Top of spine/cover you can see a ding/chip, (may be production related, see the almost exact same issue on copy for sale on eBay). Bottom also has a small ding/chip. Sun shadow on bottom of front cover. Ding at right lower edge. Back cover has more sun shadow at top and stain at top. Interior is tight and supple cream pages. No GPA for a decade, one listed on eBay is a 1.5 for $230! I'll ask a cool $500.
  8. Terry Toons Comics 3. I am going to say 5.5 (F-). Timely funny animal from 1942. Massive book - 68 pages! - and single staple. Everything tight and attached. Sharp edges and corners. Cover is smooth and glossy. Some tearing near staple, slight spine stresses, 3 small spots of paper loss/scuffing on spine. Bottom of spine has small chip. Sun/Dust tanning on back, slight staining in "T" in Terry. Interior pages supple cream. No GPA, the bay asking prices all over. Asking $250.
  9. First, the rules - No bad people, HOSers, Probies, etc. First unconditional on the thread trumps all DM negotiations and deals. If we come to an agreement, take it before someone else does! PayPal up to $999. Check and/or Money Order above. I will entertain offers, so ask. Returns only if I missed something (cut out, missing pages, and so on). If you are unhappy with the book we can discuss. Shipping is $5 CONUS, Canada is more (have to calculate it), outside these two countries ask before purchasing so we can agree on shipping. Bought these a couple of days ago from an estate, they are all supple with incredible glossy covers with minimal to no stressing/creasing on the covers. They have technical issues (which will be described) so grades are lower than I think they should be . . .
  10. Thanks, yes, more eyes the better. It was, and I was the 2nd person to get to it! First guy got some nice early Archies and a few other books (I wish he had left for me), but he left nice books like this anyway.
  11. Yes! You are right. I was looking at other books from this collection and there is moderate tanning around all edges in some of the books, and so in contrast this tanning escaped my attention. I did notice it the first time I looked at the book. Sorry.
  12. It's going in the next batch to be pressed/graded. I will let you all know what it gets when I get it.
  13. Thanks for looking, and helping if you can. This is a beautiful high-grade copy, except for the crease on the lower left back cover. How much of a hit will this give the book? I am going to get it pressed, so it will be a little less obvious, but still it breaks color. No tanning, spine is great, cover has no creasing or staining. Really the only issue is the crease. Thanks again!
  14. This should probably be in Looking for or the I want to get married threads Good luck
  15. A bump (Oh, excuse me. So sorry.) and while no across the board discounts I am hereby signaling that I am more amenable to offers at this point. May close this by tomorrow evening if no more action. Thanks
  16. Thanks - sorry for the long time responding, life sometimes pulls us away from the important things, like comics . . .
  17. Take a copy A from here amd copy C from your child and comics and TV (I can't remember the name this late at night)
  18. Figured I'd add another fun book - Tales of Suspense 1 CGC 1.5 C/OW pages. Coupon cut from back cover, 1 piece of tape on cover. Last 2 sales were $390 and $375 (same book keeps chanting hands for GPA). I'll ask $375 since it looks much better than the grade - that coupon out of the back brings it way down.
