  1. You can buy straight naptha, look for it in the paint section. Removes ink too. It's flammable, so be careful.
  2. From what I understand, the Uniform Commercial Code covers this. Generally, and California Law may be different, the consignee assumes the risk in a consignment situation while the goods are in possession of the consignee. However if the seller/consignor didn't file a financing statement as required by section 9 of the UCC... Also, I suspect if there was a contract it would supersede these guidelines.
  3. Auction notes that it's certified by a different company too.
  4. Marvel chipping, some rippling lower half b/c. Thanks!
  5. Isn't there a 'Tec with a Neal Adams cover that recreates a early issue, but the story is pedestrian? A castle? Just to point out that there are cool covers that are worth $$$, and that's all they have going for them.
  6. Should the graph be more specific for the Y axis? More and less are pretty much de rigueur, right? I mean, it's never less on top, is it?
  7. Some are as low as $15, up to several hundred. Not sure what type of stuff you get in the POW thing, but I'm guessing it's a Stan auto, and I think there are going to be tons of them. But I could be wrong.
  8. Have you seen how much you can get a Mickey Mantle auto for?
  9. There was a case years ago on Antiques Roadshow, where an appraiser gave an appraisal on a large lot of CSA General George Pickett's possessions to a direct descendant. He then made an offer to buy, and based on the appraisal, the offer was accepted. Not sure how it came to light, but the appraiser was sued shortly thereafter for the low appraisal and tactic.
  10. Marvel Fanfare 7, Hulk vs Blob & Unus. Not only great battles, but a great story too.
  11. New message from: cevicheocja-6 (0) 17.4 cm × 25.8 cm
  12. I bought 40 ASM 252s when they came out for $0.45 each. I sold them for $2.50 a short time thereafter.
  13. I thought comic books were regulated by the CCA and magazines were not, i.e. Mad Magazine. Does that make a difference between first appearances?
  14. Well, it's a first issue for an immensely popular subject. From what I recall from when I was initially in collecting, it was the only variant.
  15. Not sure about the margins on new books, I've heard they're paper thin. So having credit cards for prepayment, and then by law being obligated to refund, seems like a rough spot for the store. I think the picture proves that having a pull list doesn't guarantee people coming in regularly, right? So why have a pull list? I would think that if the new issue collectors had to go to the store each week that their books were released, it would generate more traffic, lessen problems, etc. Though my bottom line is black, I am flat upon my back, My cash flows out and customers pay slow. The growth of my receivables is almost unbelievable: The result is certain - unremitting woe! And I hear the banker utter an ominous low mutter, "Watch cash flow".
  16. Just saw that TWD had the fourth highest audience for 2016, 88,000,000 viewers or so.
  17. Saw this on FB today. Looks like they have Jim Shooter scheduled to appear. Is Wizard done in Philly?
