  1. Quit refusing to go to school and learn about the concepts of time and space. Curses! Foiled again!!
  2. Depends how long you want to wait until obtaining the copy for your collection. Someone posted earlier they sold them for $5. Three copies I think? I think after the television show hype wears off it'll be much less expensive than it is now. Of course if Mr. Wonderful becomes the next Amazing Spider-Man, then you're looking at steal prices now. Obviously, if you overpay now, and find one cheaper later, you can sell it to recoup some of your overpayment. I guess it depends on how you feel, and how long it takes you to earn $30 to $50. Would you trade that amount of labor for the comic?
  3. I think Wolverine's 2nd appearance is worth more than his first.
  4. Then you are behind I've been called behind, or little big behind my whole life. Fixed that for ya!

  6. I typically don't discuss Marvel Mags as I have been buying as many as I can as cheap as I can. This as well as others are tough in high grade. This particular issue is considered a key for the series and commands a higher price due to speculation. I have a couple copies so it's okay to mention it i love marvel mags and love that one too. seems like a strong price. but jscomics had a bunch of these up and i guess they built up a critical mass of the hardcore collectors of DHKF bidding on them and basically got slab or better prices for raws. i had a slabbed 9.2 of #2 (neal adams). i paid half guide for it (not including shipping) and felt i made out like a bandit. that huge slab was such a PITA to store in my old apartment i decided to sell it. what a PITA that was! i just broke even on that darn thing, probably lost money after paying fees. Did you sell that on the boards? I bought a DHKF slabbed several years ago.
  7. well you're not in NYC, are you in Mexico City? I am not aware of another city in North America with more than 7 million people. (I know, I know, the greater Toronto metropolitan area, I'm kidding you!) Does Toronto claim Buffalo, Niagara on the Lake, and Niagara Falls as their GMO? I was shocked to hear Philly is considered a suburb of NYC.
  8. Hardly, Rockhead is an '05 newb like you. Why JC gets to consistently and routinely ignore board rules, and the mods do little to nothing about it, I don't know. And they wonder why people have a problem. Oh well. Want cheese?
  9. Exactly my point. I don't care what people read, what people collect, etc., but when some yahoo comes on and says the "experts" are telling newbies to "spend $80 on a crappy Modern" then I've got to toss in my 2-cents. No "expert" (unless he's an expert on crack) would recommend such a strategy. So what strategery do you recommend ? Berate everyone as much as possible.
  10. I remember when MGN 4 came out. I bought one b/c of all the x-men hype and thought I would get in on the ground floor. . When I noticed the large quantity of finger prints I asked Joel at Sunshine Comics if I could use windex to clean it.
  11. He's just making a bad joke in the vein of "Oh, so you're butthurt by softcore porn and objectionable images in Sigs? Well I'm gonna be butthurt over high-grade comics. Naaaahhh!".
  12. Personally I'm offended by all the high grade books people show off in their sig lines. Would everyone kindly tailor their stuff to my liking? I don't feel I should be inconvenienced, just others who I find objectionable.
  13. Wow. Just saw the news. You are right. Ever since she first appeared on Attack of the Show, she's had a special place in my heart You mean....OLIVIA MUNN??? Yessir (thumbs u SWOOOOON. Stand in line. She's #2 on the Approved Pass List. Who's first?
  14. I laughed because that made me think of this... I actually got more of a Tony Wonder image. Perfect analogy though. -J. It's obviously a generational thing, as I think of Lucy (Lucille Ball in I love . . . ) I had to google Lucille Ball
  15. Didn't Bob Overstreet intentionally put in typos to see who was stealing his stuff?
  16. Well it is an alter ego. If I'm Sybil and wake up one day with a new personality, I'm the same person, but the new personality is, well, new, and today would be the first time anyone "saw" the personality.
  17. Sorry. You missed my point. The Amazing Spider-Man#252 (May 1, 1984) Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars#8 (December 1, 1984) ------------------------ 7 month gap between them = No confusion which came first The Incredible Hulk#181 (November 1974) Wolverine #10 (August 1989) ------------------------ 15 years, 3 month gap between them = No confusion which came first X-Men Annual#14 (August 1, 1990) The Uncanny X-Men#266 (August 1, 1990) ------------------------ 0 month gap between them = Potential for confusion So comparing the other books to the X-Men Ann #14/UXM #266 situation is not the same. They were published in the same month. That is why it is easily assumed Marvel messed up the release of this book because (1) who cared about Gambit anyway, and (2) Marvel just wanted to crank books out without a care of which order the books had to be released. Were they released the same month? Kind of like ASM 252 MTU 141 and PPTSSM 90 (89?) Which is the first black costume?
  18. Dude! Quit trying to steer the conversation! sorry, I couldn't resist. A nozzle posted that towards me, so I figure I'd carry on the flame.
  19. Saw three at the local show today $25, $35 and $45. Didn't look closely but they were all at least fine.
